While trying to decide whether to replace or repair a year old side by side refrigerator due to issues with the freezer side not consistently cooling, I researched the cost of replacement and the cost I was willing to pay for a repairThe refrigerator had been rock-solid until the issue that started approximately two months agoIn calling various companies about their cost to diagnose the problem and the cost to repair, I almost gave upI went back to the Revdex.com site and found Better HomesThe cost for the initial diagnosis was great as well as the explanation of the cost structureI decided to have them take a look and see what the outcome would be What I found was totally unexpected in today's customer service climateThe technician (David) was personable, professional and explained in laymen terms what he was doing and what he foundHe gave me the cost of the repairs which gave me the information I required to replace or repairGiven that the issue with the refrigerator was a switch, the total cost for the part including labor was far below what I had expectedEven if the fix does not hold, I have not invested a lot of money in the repairI cannot say that all technicians are as straight forward as David, but I can honestly say that my experience with Better Homes, from the initial call to writing the check for the repair was the best experience I've ever had with an appliance repair/service companyI'm years old and have gone through the mill with Appliance companiesI hope to make Better Homes my company for future service
