4-11- I spoke with [redacted] on 3-31-she stated that she would call someone regarding the door 4-2-spoke with [redacted] and she informed me that she spoke with [redacted] who would be getting in contact with me4-4- [redacted] left a message for me to contact him 4-7-my father (***) placed a call to [redacted] and he came out on 4-7-to look at the door, my father explained to [redacted] that the door does not close up tight [redacted] informed my father that he does not work for Better Homes Windows & Siding Roofing and that he was only trying to help a friend out [redacted] was asked to put a regular striker plate on the door which would solve the problem and [redacted] informed [redacted] that he would have to take the whole door frame [redacted] just removed the old screws and replaced with some longer screwsOnce the wood shrinks again the door will have the same problemOn 4-7-I received a message from [redacted] stating that the job is done I am very dissatisfied that this company would just send a friend out who does not even work for the company to evaluate a jobI guess once you pay your bill in full with Better Homes Windows & Siding Roofing they nothing else to do with the customer and they do not stand behind the product they saleI would like to get this matter resolved Thank you, [redacted]

Dear [redacted] , This letter is in response to the rejection for complaint [redacted] by [redacted] I stated in my letter of 4-14-if the problem was not fixed to the customers satisfaction Better Homes would do the necessary steps to satisfy the customer On Friday 4-18-Better Homes sent for the 2nd time a quallified field tec who has been in the business for over years to the [redacted] 's house to replace parts of the door the customer wanted replaced The customer demand the front door also have parts replaced which our tec also replaced The job was done in and repair that our tec first did should have been accepted by industry standards Better Homes has gone above and beyond to satisfy the customer and they should have no complaints now The letter from consumer protection was received 4-11-and the service was completed by Friday 4-18-by 5PM If there are any questions please contact me at ###-###-#### Sincerely [redacted]

Dear ***,
Better Homes sent over a more than qualified carpenter who has been in the business for over years and he found the strike plate screws were stripped so he added longer screws to go through the jam into the stud. The adjustable strike plate should not move and the door is functioning properly now. If however it does move Better Homes will do the necessary steps to make the problem correct. Thank you for your time

We were not aware that there was a problem. Job is in the process of being done and the gutter is fixed. Customer is happy.

Review: I contacted Better Homes Windows & siding Roofing on the week of March 11, 2014 and left a message for a return call. The message that I left was in regards to a door that was installed by Better Homes Windows & Siding Roofing back in May 2009 and the strike plate keeps moving. [redacted] did return a call and informed that her workers were on vacation and that she was getting ready for a home show coming up that weekend and that she would get back in touch me. I called again the week of March 16, 2014 and was once again told by [redacted] that she would get back in touch with me. I ended up talking with [redacted] on around March 24 or 25 2014 and she stated that she would place a call to have someone come out and look at the door and if I did not hear back from her to give her a call on 3-28-14. I placed a call to [redacted] on 3-28-14 around 6pm and she stated that I should have called early in the day and it was not a good time to talk. I did inform that people do have to work and I did not feel that calling a company at 6pm was too late since her company is the one that installed the product. I did make her aware that would be contacting the Revdex.com to help deal with this issue. I do not feel this company stands behind its work and I also feels that once they are paid in full for the job have done you will never get them back to fix anything.Desired Settlement: I would like to have a service person come out to my home and fix the rear door strike plate.
