The response contains many untruthsMr*** was never informed that the porch was "ok"
by my sonI do not know of anyone name "***" that he mentions who would have contacted him about my propertyHe was instructed to speak with either me or my sonActually two days after the work begain on the porch, somewhere around December 16, 2013, my son contact Mr*** to inform him that the persons he had "subcontracted" the job out to (which was under explained to me or agreed to by me) were not doing the job according to the blue prints and he should meet him at the property to review the discrepanciesMr*** told my son "I don't distrub the workers while the are working"Initially I did plan to pay Mr*** because the work was completed but once I learned about the poor quality of the work that was done, I felt it necessary to look at the work myselfWhat I saw was horribleThere are several places throughout the porch where nails are coming through the planks, indicating that either the nails used were too big for the planksSome of the steps are higher than othersThe braces that were used don't actually connect to anything on the porchI asked Mr *** to get a city inspector to come out and inspect his work and if it was found to be in code I would make him a final paymentHe continued to tell me he couldn't get anyone outThe response to the complaint is the first time I learned that he went on-line to request an inspector to come outMy son went on-line for me on 2/18/and had an inspector scheduled to come out to inspect the work on 2/24/The inspector was shocked and appalled at the workmaship just as I was and said "you have more violations from the repair work than you did before the work begain"Mr*** kept telling me he couldn't get another inspector out until I spoke with someone from the city because I had more violations on the propertywhich is not trueMr *** has never come out with me or my son to look at the porch since it was completedThere were two other violations along with the porch, which where both corrected prior to the work on the porch beginningI have had several contractors to come out to give me an estimate of how much it will cost me to get the porch up to code and the cost range anywhere from $to $Mr *** never informed me that his work was guaranteed for one year, and that is not stated anywhere in the contractMr*** breached the contract by not following the blueprints to completed the repairs to the porchHe has caused me more problems that I orginally had with this porchUntil he comes out and corrects the problems he has caused, I do not plan on paying him any additional monies
