I am rejecting this response because:Tyler has stated several things that are not correct. We did not have repairs done by them in July problem was addressed at that time and repair was madeThe 2nd repair was done in Oct in a unrelated area.We did not ask them at any time for an opinion of our chimney siding in We didn’t know our chimney had problems in because Clay never mentioned it as the source of our leaksIn Aug 2017, Clay’s re-evaluation was that our chimney siding and lack of flashing was now the source of the leak, not the sewer pipe as we previously stated and that is when our problems started with themHis re-evaluation of the leak due to our now chimney siding and no flashing problem that Clay was diagnosing at that time prompted us to get other roofing/siding estimatesWe continued to try to work with Better Roofing to get a proper estimate of the work they were proposing until we found moisture in mid-Sept coming from our sewer pipe which was 1st repaired by them in July 2016.We have not had our chimney fixed whatsoever as Tyler has stated. The siding has only preventative been sealed and we hired out a preventative only repair at the downhill base of our chimney in an area that could never cause the leak in our house.Their only correct evaluation of our chimney was that we have deteriorating siding which you can clearly see.We have never reached out to Better Roofing since our meeting in September because we clearly do not want them do to any work for us again, and no one has ever reached out to us to check in with us eitherTyler failed to mention thatOf course, we hired another company to redo our sewer pipe because our trust was lost with Better Roofing due to their poor quality of work and service they provide, their lack of professionalism and respect to their customers. Our first repair failed in a very short span of time and that is why we are asking for our money back

It's rather odd that we point out issues with the roof and chimney. And they hire someone else to fix these issues Yes, the sewer flashing was fixed by someone else with a lead top flashing - like we suggested The original flashing was installed properly, sometimes the rubber gasket fails. I offered to fix the flashing with a lead top flashing After our meeting in the homeowners back yard. I told them to call me if they wanted us to come back and install the lead top flashing. No, I did not check in with either. After 1 year the gasket failed on the original sewer flashing - it was not due to poor workmanship. I get letters from almost every job that we do thanking us and willing to refer Better Roofing to anyone. Yet you can't make all customers happy - as is the case with the [redacted]   I was more than willing to install the different type of flashing - due to the original gasket failing It was around 1 year after the work was done They also addressed almost all of the issues that we brought to their attention - we must know what we are talking about! These are the reasons why I reject any refunds being issued.

[redacted] did call us to come to her home in July 2016 to fix 2 areas that were leaking and also look at her fireplace chimney as there is vertical siding on it with big gaps in the wood. I sent Clay over to meet with [redacted]. Clay has almost 40 years in the roofing industry and has worked with me for...

almost 15 years. Clay did the 2 repairs where the leaks were happening and everything was fine. Over a year later [redacted] calls and says that her sewer pipe that Clay fixed was leaking again. So we set up a meeting to go look at the issue. When it comes to repairs, it is very hard to give a written estimate to fix the issues, due to the fact that we don't know what the previous roofer may have done that is causing the leak and there may be more to fix than we can see with a naked eye. When we all met at the home. [redacted] had a rather poor attitude and her and Clay were arguing over what was said in the previous meetings. I finally asked [redacted] if she had any pictures of the leak from in the attic and she says yes I was wondering when you would finally ask me that. She showed me the pictures and by this time her husband(John?) arrived home and got on the roof with Clay and I. We all looked at the sewer flashing that is in question and with out a doubt, the flashing is installed correctly. We couldn't see why it would still be leaking until I pulled the rubber gasket that goes around pipe and noticed that is was damp. This dampness along with the pictures provided by [redacted] assured me that the rubber gasket had failed and I showed this to John. John started accusing Clay of installing the flashing wrong over and over again and this when Clay got upset with John. I did make clay get off the roof at this time and apologized to John for Clay's actions. I did tell John the reason why he got upset is that we take pride in our work and work very hard to keep all of our customers happy. John asked how I would rectify the leak around the sewer pipe. I went into detail as he took notes about everything I said. I told him that the frost free lead top flashing might solve the problem, I could not guarantee this though. John and I got down in the back yard were [redacted] was and we had a polite conversation. I told both the [redacted] that I was willing to come back and install the different type of flashing or they could hire someone else to do the work(which I assume they did). They told me that they would think about it and let me know. I havn't heard a word since this meeting until this letter was written to the Revdex.com. It is the law that I am entitled to fix my work before any refunds are given or another contractor is hired. In response to them saying(We feel that we are entitled to a refund due to and incorrectly done repair/ Clearly, the first repair was not done right) - this stated is false. The repair was done correctly and over the course of a year the rubber gasket failed! Also, What about the 2nd repair that we did that has not leaked- they forget to mention that What about [redacted] asking us how to fix her chimney and then having someone else do the work-  We must know what we are doing
