This company is upfront that they themselves do not do loans, but instead supply you with loan vendors that meet your criteria (although this is debatable when you read all I put belowAnd yes, you do NOT have to use their credit scores company, if you already know your score, or you can skip it all togetherHowever, these are things that I personally found to be shady:
1) They make you give your routing number, account number, driver's license number, address, work number, work name, on top of your social security numberThink about this: If they are NOT the lender, if I can give them whatever FICO score ( they do not ask nor tell you which of the credit agencies they report to, nor do they specifically ask for a "FICO" score), then why do I need to give this much info upfront, or at least the bank information when they themselves do NOT handle the loan, or anything after the loan is given or denied?
2) When it comes to the score, they say you have two options: Use a 3rd party to look up your score, which you will have to pay for, or you can give your score (again, it does not say whether they are looking at one reporting agency, or if they're looking at your overall FICO)This is actually false, and they don't tell you this on this page: There is a 3rd option, in little light colored writing at the bottom after you scroll down, that allows you to decline altogether and move forwardI have seen complaints from others saying they did not see the second option and the replies from the company feel (again, to me) like they think the complainer is ignorantWhat they don't say, is that they have used a trick used by many to push people along like cattleThe way they lay out the page makes it look like your seeing the whole picture, that you're seeing everything, and you just need to click the button that they provide youThis is because the listing of the options is in a different font at the top, list by 1) and 2) then there is a box that takes up the rest of the screenThis box is NOT listed as option 1), it simply asks if you wish to continueNothing within the viewable area of this page tells, or makes you think to scroll down to a previously unseen area, that is much much smaller, gray, that lets you enter your known scoreThe first box? SHINY and BIG! And takes you immediately to their 3rd party score finderThe area where you can enter your score because you already got it for free? Small, gray, only visible when you scroll to the bottomAnd again, this option is not marked at 2)And then there is the non-mentioned option 3, next to the sad little gray box in light coloring that allows you to skip this part of the processThese kind of tricks online are so old, you just cringe when you see itIt should make you nervous, and it did me3) Let's talk about scores a little more! So, I was amused by how this company classifies the credit scores (ie - Bad, Fair, Good....)They give you to classify your score using a drop down menuThe ranges are large and shifted in directions that no actual credit reporting group uses, and of course it is shifted in a manner that makes you feel better not only about your score, but about your chancesThe funny thing is, they redirected me without my permission or warning to an alternative company, which is in fact, is another company doing the same thing they do, asking you the same info, but behold, their score classification is skewed in the other direction making it worse than it really is and there is a tiny print at the top they lets you know up front they're a payday loan site, but it would be easy to miss with all the large bright graphics on the page asking you to give up your info4) When you read their Q&A section, it makes it sound like they will present you with your options up front, and they specifically say, "We at BetterLoanChoice.com do not pull your credit reportYour lender may do so with your permission." I was never presented with options, and I was not asked if I gave permission to anyone specific to check my creditI was told that I was "Pre-approved" and almost doneThen they just redirect me to the other site I mentioned above that was a payday loan service, which I was never applying for a payday loanBUT! No sooner did this occur than I started recieving emails from companies saying that based on my credit score, they could not help meHmmm....I hope that this is based solely on the score I gave them (which was my actual score) and that based on fair credit practices, I could obtain a copy of their reasons for denying meNow, whenever someone says that, it usually means that they have indeed done a credit checkWhich I did not give them permission to do soOtherwise, it would have said they would have denied me due to the information that I GAVE TO THEMPlease note, as of writing this, I do not know yet if they did in fact run a checkIf they did, there will be a fight and I will dispute it will the credit agencies and the Revdex.com for this company and for each company that I find out pulled my report with out them asking me first, as this company promised would happenThis kind of nonsense is credit damaging and I will go the rounds if need beI will try and update this comment once I know for sureAnd by the way, I did take screenshots and downloaded the site to for comparisons if it comes to that>> In conclusion, I can not, and will not call this company a scam, thus why I am putting this in the comments and not making an actual complaint to the Revdex.comI think they have shady practices, ones that take advantage of hurting and desperate people in my opinionTryer bewareShould I find out that these companies that were never presented to me by BetterLoanChoice.com as options nor did these companies that are now emailing me and probably will now start calling and texting me pulled my credit report without permission, I will place this comment over to an actual complaint to all involved, and if it ends up hurting my credit, and they don't fix it, I can assure you I will be pursusing legal actionSomething else to note by anyone still reading: Many people question what good the Revdex.com can actually do in helping people find upright companies these daysI still find it useful sometimes, but in this case, you will find that this company, and some of the 3rd parties, have an A+ ratingBut if you read on other social media ratings sites, you will find bad reviewsWhy? It is important to look at the criteria for which they are giving them the ratingThat A+ is not because of all the provable positive feedback from consumers, it is because they responded to people's complaints, not that they actually made it betterBetterChoiceLoan.com has only been with the Revdex.com since March of this year and there is very little feedbackThere is a complaint existing prior to this that they company responds harshly and quite abruptly, with no attempt to try to win over the complainerAnd then conveniently, there is just one compliment, worded in such a way that makes you question who really wrote itI would not be surprised if magically a bright shining review suddenly pops up right after this review of mineAnyways, take it or leave itThis was my experienceI would never recommend this process or company to some one else, but then again, I only recommend companies that really do things in the way they say it happens, there's no strange or shady way in how they present their productPlus, let's face it, the people that use these kind of sites are people that cannot go to the institutions that people with good credit and incomes go to, so what are ya gonna do, right? As of this review, I would not rings the bells and start an angry mobI will just stay away, far far away

This customer is not being truthful about the advertisements made by BetterLoanChoice.  The BetterLoanChoice website advertises "Loan after bankruptcy" on both the front page and in the FAQ.  The website does not advertise loans during bankruptcy because in most cases they are not...

allowed.  The customer claims to be in bankruptcy and should not be applying for a loan.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:The referrals are useless and not accommodating to the customer  profile- this company throws together a variety of clients which have nothing to do with the consumers needs and then promotes other clients when a denial is presented- this causes several browsers to be opened and unnecessary information is then left exploited and venerable.  TOTAL SCAM!

They tell you there are not a lender. They also say the have a database of lenders if that true why send me another company that do what they do I donot want my information at all these place. Anyways, take it or leave it. This was my experience. I would never recommend this process or company to some one else, but then again, I only recommend companies that really do things in the way they say it happens, there's no strange or shady way in how they present their product.
