Horrible customer service- the bartender was rude to my husband and I (the paying customers) as well as our wedding guests. He swore, made back-handed comments, and we received multiple complaints from guests throughout the night, including one of our guests who felt very singled-out by him due to her race. Contractually, this company also failed us. They claim (both on the website and from our account manager) that whatever is unused we will received money back for. We had over $200 worth of unopened alcohol and they said that they could only refund us $40. We have photos, a refund receipt, and email threads that would state otherwise. The manager himself (Mike) should not have a position within this company. As a manager, you would except someone to listen to customer complaints but instead, he accused us of lying, cut me off mid-sentence multiple times on our phone call, and denied almost every complaint we submitted while defending his bartenders. Mike also claimed that he was at our event that night, but never introduced himself to us because if he had, I'm sure this situation would not have escalated to this. This company and the people that work for them are absolute frauds, sketchy in their business practices, and downright should not be in the customer service industry.

Refund we want money back for 1 of the bartenders that was present at our event
It is policy at Beverage Specialists to investigate every complaint received regarding any part of our business as we take them very seriously. If it is determined that we were at fault and provided subpar service to a client we are happy to rectify the situation in any way possible including providing a refund.
We did receive the complaint(s) from the client and thoroughly interviewed each member of our staff that was on site the day of the event. There were several complaints and each one of them was individually addressed in our response to the client. While many of the complaints were unfounded, we did waive a $50 delivery fee for additional liquor that was ordered and promptly delivered to the event as a courtesy. It was delivered by our manager who does not introduce himself to a bride and groom each time he makes a delivery because he does not want to disrupt what is a very busy and special time for the couple.
The client claims that one of the guests was singled out due to her ethnicity. This guest was sitting alone at her table with her head down and the bartender was fearful she was feeling sick due to alcohol consumption. He asked others to help her by getting her water and/or food. These actions had absolutely nothing to do with race, and everything to do with responsible alcohol management.
The client was refunded $40 for unused product as is our practice. In the original complaint the client said there were unopened mixers and wine that was not refunded. Beverage Specialists offered to provide a refund for these products in the initial complaint response but we never heard back from the client, that offer still stands.
As a company we take pride in not only our service but also in our follow-up after the fact. We spend as much time as is necessary to ensure we do everything we can for the client. This case is no different, several hours have been spent going over each detail of the event that was mentioned in the complaint and we are confident that we left no stone unturned. It is unfortunate that the client is still dissatisfied after the investigation and after the fee was waived as a courtesy. We do wish them all the best in the future.
