requested to talk to someone about a problem with a tire she had purchased here.  I went out to greet her and ask what might be the problem.  She went on to describe that she had purchased a tire here, did not specify when, and described a part of the tire that was sticking out, we call it a "bubble", on the sidewall and wanted to have it replaced under warranty, because she had purchased it here.  I went on to explain that I would look into the brand of tire and see if there was a road hazard coverage on it.  Road hazard coverage is as follows: Any damage or protrusions to a tire due to something found and made contact with in the road/street under normal course of driving.  I checked the brand of tire and it was a private label brand, not one of the major brand names, and because of that it did not have this type of factory warranty.  When I explained this fact to Ms. [redacted], she then argued the point that it was not something caused by a road hazard.  She showed me that she had three other tires on the car that did not get damaged or have any bubbles of that sort on the side wall and because of that she said that she believed it to be a defect.  I explained to her that regardless of which tire it happened to, a sidewall "bubble" is something caused by a bad pot hole or hitting a curb, and if we were to submit the tire to be inspected for a manufactures defect that it would come back negative, and there would be no credit issued.  She insisted that the "bubble" was a defect, and said why wouldn't I have had that problem with any of my older three tires.  I explained to her that it just happens as a result of hitting something in the road with force, and that any tire professional or any literature online listed would also support the fact that a bubble in the sidewall of a tire is a result of a road hazard, or again some sort of pot hole or curb hit with force.  I explained also that she had purchased the tire several months ago (I don't recall, but after seeing receipt I believe it was 6-7 Months), and that usually if there was a defect with the tire, it would show up relatively quickly like a warped or partially separated steel belt for instance.  After discussing things with her she again insisted that it was a defect after everything I tried to explain and insisted on having it changed free of cost (again after several months after having bought it, not a week or a month, or a couple months after, much time had passed) regardless of what I explained.  I then explained that this was not something I could do or would do, she then went on to insist on the same point yet again, at which point I just gave up on explaining given that I had several other customers and employees to attend to and asked her if she woulc please leave our place of business.  This is the point where Ms. [redacted] said she would report us to the Revdex.com, which I encouraged if she felt the need, and here I am today writing this response.  I hope this will be helpful to clarify the situation, as I am honestly writing what happened with no bias and in a non-negative way.  Thank you.[redacted]Owner Beverly Gas & Tire Inc.[redacted], MA [redacted]###-###-####
