This company nickle and dimes its' customersIf someone has to come out you will be paying a feeOther companies do not charge for the things that CPI doesThey are more concerned about charging a fee than providing excellent customer service

Although I had no problems with the monitoring or equipment, I would caution people not to agree to bank drafts to reduce their monthly monitoring costs of a CPI contract When I decided I wanted to stop the service, I called and various reps told me different things about the process of cancelling Be warned that a written, signed request to cancel service at the monitored address must be received but the last rep told me email would suffice with an attached photo of my signature, which I did after he gave me his email address There is a to business day cancelation period to cancel the bank draft (and the bank isn't much help with this) depending on which rep you get So to recap, there will be two things to cancel with different time frames to consider: the actual monitoring service and then, the corresponding bank draft I maintain that after years and years of loyal service, the cancellation process is inconsistent, extremely poorly communicated, and too complicated

PLEASE DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT WITH CPI SECURITY SYSTEM! FIRST, THEY HAVE THE ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE, THEY ARE EXTREMELY RUDE AND ARE ALWAYS PUTTING THINGS OFF ON POLICE FAILUREI had a situation where when I was out of town, my cleaning crew set off the alarmThey stayed around, assuming the police would showAn hour later they finish cleaning, but no one showsI call CPI, they tell me it is an issue with the police, not themI call the police, per the official police report someone from CPI reported THAT THE PERSON IN MY HOME APPEARED TO BE KNOWN AND NO FOLLOW UP WAS NEEDEDI call CPI and they are ridiculously rude, essentially saying they don't care if I'm unhappy, if I would like to cancel I can pay over a grand to get out of my contractI really wish I read other reviews before signing upRest assured if you get CPI and have a break in, you should call the police yourself

I am a 16-year customer that just got fed up with this terrible company All the negative reviews are correct Their customer service is horrible, they will not upgrade existing customer equipment, yet new customers get reduced rates and new systems The cancellation process is awful Their monthly rates increase and they attempt to string you along by giving a month's worth of free monitoring when you threaten to leave As a customer that joined them near the beginning, I have personally watched this company grow, spend their money to market themselves with high $$$ spokespeople like Luke Keughly - all the while service has plummeted Beware Beware Beware You have been warned

I am extremely disappointed with CPI securities contract terms and unwillingness to work with customers based on circumstance when asked We have been customers of CPI for 1/years, never were delinquent on a bill although we barely used the service (I understand that was my choice) We sold our house in July and unfortunately, the new owners don't wish to continue using the service CPI is requiring I pay the remaining months on my contract I feel this is ridiculous since I moved to [redacted] I obviously did not know I would have to move before years and that I would move outside a service area I understand having to pay if I remained in the service area but chose not to use the service in a new home but having moved outside the area I'm stuck! I think this is a horrible business practice that takes advantage of people We are in a tight financial position having just moved, we just had a baby prematurely and things are tight Having to pay for a security service I don't even have the option of using is crazy I am a business owner myself and am disgusted at the way this company chooses to bill people

CPI is a HORRIBLE companyTheir customer service will tell you one thing when they are trying to get your businessHowever, what they tell you are LIESThey charge to check your equipment and to move the equipment if there is a problemOf course, you find out these details after the fact*** did offer insurance to cover any and all problemsCPI does not offer additional insurance because everything is covered, again LIES!!!!!!!!!!! It will be worth the $to be rid of such a LYING and NO GOOD companyI should have stayed with ***! In addition, do not select the 20th of the month for your paymentThey take the money two weeks early! They claim you are getting weeks free serviceSome one at the company cannot count! If you pay every days, where are the free weeks?

I will never recommend CPI Security to anyone I had been a customer of CPI Security Systems for over years Last year, I asked to avail of their newer equipment They said they would upgrade my equipment if I agreed to a rate increase and a new contract My old equipment has been paid for times over and I didn't get a rate reduction! I balked at the increase and I pointed out my co-worker just got his system installed with more bells and whistles at a lower rate I kept getting passed ** from one rep to another until finally I reached a rep who told me CPI was going to get my equipment because they couldn't do anything for me at that point We couldn't sync up to a good schedule for them to pick up their equipment Now, months later I called them up and was told to provide another 60-day notice I sent the notice and asked for confirmation of receipt - did not get any I called back and was told to send it to another email address Still no confirmation

I would advise to go with another company We have been customers for over years and recently experience horrible customer service and ineptness I wonder if ANYONE at the company knows what they are doing Had a call telling me the trouble light and alarm was going off and I was to purchase and replace a battery (had to leave work as the alarm upsets our old dog) Turns out this information was totally incorrect and they needed to come out and replace it themselves and no alarm We now have had the phone line to the system short out and they have left us three days w/o any monitoring until they can get someone out to fix it I have been on the phone with them several times in the last week only to just find out the cellular back up has been out for some "unknown" amount of time....at least a month, but somehow no on else noticed this issue I am looking for another monitoring company!!!

CPI is not an honest companyI was having trouble out of my old panel and was told I was eligible to upgrade at no additional cost and could cancel when I wantedI called today to cancel and was told I could cancel but it would cost me $800.00+!! I was informed that I'd signed a year contract when my new equipment was installed years agoMy ex husband signed the paperwork and spoke to the repI was later sent paperwork and harassed by the office to sign a copy and return it a month laterNo one reviewed the terms and conditions with me and informed me or my ex-husband that there was a year commitment upon installationThis company is a rip offDO NOT USE CPI under any circumstancesI bet if my house burned to the ground this folks would still be sending me a bill in the mail

BEWARE of CPI salesmen!! One showed up uninvited at my front door on a very hectic moving-in day, unsolicited, and he weaseled himself into our new home with fake charm only with the intent to sell this crappy security system (to suckers). Days later when I tried to cancel due to it not working for the purpose I explained I wanted it for, he quickly reminded me of the contract...5 long years I must pay $50/month for a system I can't use because it doesn't work!! I was told it would work for my mother in the basement but it doesn't. When I tried to explain that to the pushy salesman days later, he suddenly lost his charm and tried to sell me something else to "correct" the problem!
I would not recommend CPI to my worst enemy under any circumstances.!!!

We sold our house in July and unfortunately, the new owners don't wish to continue using the service. CPI is requiring I pay the remaining 18 months on my contract. I feel this is ridiculous since I moved to [redacted]. I obviously did not know I would have to move before 5 years and that I would move outside a service area. We were CPI customers for almost 8 years and never had an issue. Prior to replacing our windows we contacted CPI to see what we needed to do to insure that the security system would still work. We followed their instructions, but when the CPI tech arrived we were told that we would have to pay to upgrade our system because of the type of windows we had installed. When I called to cancel (because we had no interest in paying for equipment that they were giving to new customers for free) CPI offered to upgrade the system for free. Fast forward 6 months to when we sell our house and move. We contacted CPI to inquire about transferring services to our new home. We were told that we would have to pay almost $400 for our new equipment, and start a new contract at a higher fee. Or we could cancel and pay almost $2,000 in early termination fees. Feeling trapped, we chose to have them install the new system and pay the fee. Our previous system had 2 key pads, motion detector, and every door and window on the lower level was monitored. We have now PAID to have only one keypad, and only 7 windows and doors monitored, because that is all included. And we are paying a higher fee each month, to have LESS protection.
Once our contract is up we will be cancelling our service. I will never recommend CPI to anyone if this is how they treat people who have been customers for 8 years!
