We had billed Mr*** for the incorrect sewer rate. The account had to be cancelled and rebilledDuring the cancel procedure the customer was online looking at his account and saw
a credit balance sitting on the account. Mr*** asked why the credit was there and we were not aware at that time what took placeThe customer was sent a credit refund check in the amount of $which was wrong. When cancelling the bill, our system went down and we were not able to rebill the customer with the correct rate. We were not aware of the mistake until after Mr*** had already cashed the check. This was a company errorI reviewed the account and what took placesince Mr*** already cashed the check, we agreed to set up a payment plan so Mr*** can pay back the $that was sent to him in errorTell us why here

Our Travelers Insurance company is handling the claim with the customer directly

As of 12/6/repairs were made to the curb and retaining wall in the front yardTopsoil and seed were placed around the curb line and meter pitThe customer was informed that we will go back in April to put a fresh coat of topsoil and seedIn addition numerous calls have been made
to set up an appointment with the customer to determine damage was done to the electric dog fence and irrigation lineThe contractor has called the customer times and also visited the property leaving door tags with the direct number to callAlso, the supervisor of the local office has left messages. I also called two times, and *** *** returned me call questioning why we needed to have appt set up and also to advise that we need to contact her husbandThat is the number we have been calling all along. Without customer showing the contractor what repairs are needed, we cannot proceed with their requestUntil customer can meet with the contractor to show damage done, we cannot assist the customer

I am rejecting this response because:New Jersey American Water did not finish the job due to the fact that area affected was not covered with top soil and seeded.Please finish your job

I am rejecting this response because:I do NOT want to be charged a reconnection fee of any kindIn an email I wrote to Ms S*** it said I received copies of letters supposedly sent to my residence regarding notices of turning my water being turned off due to non compliance of a new meterThe written notices were sent to the WRONG addressI believe this was unlawful

I received a letter saying that the bill is correct and I should make arrangements to pay itAre you saying that the meter has not been tested yet? Why did I receive this letter if the results of the meter reading have not been received yet?

The customer may have utilized a service called “***” to pay/consolidate financial information and may have changed their password information and did not update *** with the new password for Web Self Service. *** attempts to use a computer program to sign into their NJamwater
account and pull information(every day at the same time) and they can resolve this by updating or cancelling their *** account. Company has reached out to the customer to correct the issue. TH***/Customer Advocacy

Per investigation by NJAW, Intuit has admitted the issue was on their end and has been corrected. Customer's password was reset, on our end we have done all that we can do. Tom H***NJ American Water***

I previously advised the customer I would adjust the $fee as a courtesy and I will honor that adjustment

Cash only status removed from account and waived fee as a courtesyReferring to billing area to see what can be done to alert customers of any issues at time payment is being attempted

I spoke to the local supervisor and he will be sending our contractor over this week to repair service leak. I called Mrs*** to advise and she will be contacting me back if work is not completed by the end of this week

The account is still under investigation and I will respond as soon as we have completed our review....Thank you

When meter was removed on 11/10/the read was is line with previous reads. The meter has not been tested yet. We are waiting for the results. I will contact customer once the meter has been tested

I am rejecting this response because as a consumer I was not informed of the $service charges and never had my actual water meter readings explained or inspected for incorrect or miscalculated readingsour household is a family of two, with minimal water usage, after being informed that the water quality in that air was less to substandardSeveral state reports expressed that the water quality in that area was lower than that of its suburban counterparts but was stated to be within "urban" limitsNow, this maybe an issue that the representiave expressed is one that was presented "long before I came on the scene," however this is not issue that I feel is one that I should have to sit withThose who reside in these units should be informed of the monthly charges and the water quality is being presented to them and their families As previously expressed, I requested for a full examination into my water meter readings, monthly bills and chargesMy shut-off date should of have been 9/30/but the I one lien system only presented the date listedI look forward to getting a response
