The owner of Bev's Upholstery did call me after finally reviewing the communication she received from Revdex.com. She called to express her anger that I had contacted the Revdex.com and placed a complaint. She did not think it was reasonable that I request a definite completion date. She said that she had been...

ill and could not give me a date when she would complete the work. I offered to come and pick up my furniture, fabric, and pillows, and she declined to agree to that. "I will complete the work and return your furniture when it is done." That is where the situation stands at the moment.
I remain extremely disappointed that the business has made repeated promises to contact me or complete the work and none of these have been fulfilled. I do understand that a person may be ill, however, in my understanding of business arrangements, that does not release the business from normal expectations to keep the customer informed on the status of their contracted work and to try to use communication to resolve difficulties in fulfilling a contract agreement. This seems a normal and reasonable business expectation that, in no way, is minimized by difficulties that may arise.
