Revdex.com Complaint #*** we find to be unfoundedAt no time was the company misled and our 25th annual *** *** * *** *** was once again a big success for our resorts and vendor partners that have participated with us for yearsThe attached emails show how we were approached by Vacation
Ownership Consultants representative and were asked about the expected attendance numbers that are clearly listed on our demographics page on our website (and are different for our Boston Expo and Denver Expo)I pointed out to her that she was reading the Boston information when looking at our 42,expected attendance figures ( nowhere was there 30,number ?) and that Denver was 25,attendeesWe as a company were hesitant about having them as a company in our expo because we find that timeshare companies can create issues with our paying customers by making claims or giving misleading information to them ( see my comments to them in the attached email.) Many companies do giveaways of lift tickets or other items to attract customers to their booth and that is acceptable and encouragedYou need to engage people at our expos that are interactive events ( see the video taken from this year's Denver Expo on the bottom of our homepage of our website (***) it shows the crowds we had in attendance interacting with the many booths and activities we offer at the expoAs you read thru the emails you will see where we were contacted again after they had contracted regarding the fact that the husband and wife team that would be running the booth were about to become parents and the wife asked what our policy was if they had to cancel because she went into labor at the time of the expo and the email will show we said that normally there is no refunds and they would have to forfeit the cost but we are human and understand that things like this might happen so we made an exception for her and said we would refund her money if in fact that did happen, which it did notThe couple came and set up to exhibit and our show office never had anyone come to complain that they were unhappy during the days of the expo it was only weeks later when I received the first call from the owner of the company in Ca (who never stepped foot into the expo) and he started yelling at me that our company was a complete scam and that we had no attendance expectations, this continued with him yelling for a few minutes I tried many times to calm the situation down and to tell him that he was mistaken that the he was given about the expo was not correct and that we had lots of attendees over the weekend, that we were very happy with the results of the expo as were all our other exhibitorsThe yelling continued with him repeatedly yelling " what are you going to do for me" I kept answering him calmly that there was nothing that I felt we needed to do as we Fulfilled our part of the agreement by providing a well attended event and that we had no one else making the claims he was and that there was nothing more I could doWhen he asked me if there was someone above me I told him he could speak with the owner who was currently traveling but would be back in the office the next week and he could feel free to call him but that he, like me, would have the same opinion that we did not feel we owed him anythingThis was not what he wanted to hear and he continued to yell and threaten me with lawsuits, bad *** reviews and the Revdex.com etcI had other lines ringing and I was not getting a word in edgewiseI said I was sorry sir I have to hang up and take these other calls please feel free to call the owner the following week, and hung up the phoneHe did not call the owner the next week he waited and then the following week called again never asking for the owner he was just yelling the same accusations and threats and was told once again that we do not feel we did anything wrong and that we are not going to refund him any moniesThe last thing we want to see is a booth with someone just sitting at a table looking bored and uninterested (which is what we saw at the Vacation Ownership Consultants booth) repeatedly we saw a man sitting and working on his computer while people passed in front of his booth and no interaction taking placeMaybe the product he was selling was not fit for our customer or possibly the sales staff did not performI am not sure exactly what they did for business but the fees the paid are the same as all our other exhibitors ( whom return annually for the event)We at no time make any claims for how much business someone would doWe only provide information about who our customer base is and what our attendance history has shownWe have no other exhibitors that have contacted us regarding any types of complaints, we only have a number of them already signing up for next years 26th Annual *** *** *** *** because they were only once again very happy with their companies resultsHopefully this communication now resolves this matterPlease keep in mind that this was our 25th Anniversary for the expo and as far as we are aware we have never had a complaint in all these years to the Revdex.com in that historyWe'll let all who read this draw their own conclusion
