On January 24, 2020 BFMD, LLC came to my home to repair the sewage line with 4" pipe. I wasn't sure if the job was complete because they just left and didn't communicate anything, just left without knocking on the door or calling me to say that they were finished. I left a message because I had concerns about a hole and that water was now coming up out of the drain pipe in front of my washing machine in the basement with some pieces of tree bark and dirt. One of the men who came out to complete the work came back by the house and stated that the dirt had collapsed in the hole and that he dug it out and fixed it and that he was there for payment. I told him my concern and he said that to call Artie and that it could be a Baltimore County issue. Artie called and said that he could come and run a camera through for $250 and that he needed to know soon while he was in the neighborhood. I heard nothing else from them although I called to complain again. On 2/3/20 I was told by Judy*** that Artie told her that as a courtesy he had come by on the same day that we spoke and ran the camera through and didn't see anything. I told her that he didn't (I was home all day) and that he told me the only way he would do that was if I paid the $250 and that I know he didn't come out there. If he ran a camera through there he would have been able to see whatever was now blocking the drain that is not allowing the water to continue to flow out to the main drain pipe. I was dismissed and told that Artie's word was the final word on the matter. I believe that they got dirt or something in the line that now is blocking the flow but they took my $3500 and they feel that I should be satisfied with such work. The water doesn't even go out but as soon as the washing machine releases water it comes right out of the drain in front of the washer because I sat there and watched to see where the water was coming from.

Repair I want them to unclog what they clogged and not try to seek extra money for the problem that they caused. Everything was flowing prior to this incident out of the main drain pipe when I washed and now, right after they did this it isn't.
BFMD,LLC was contracted by the consumer to repair a section of 4" PVC pipe and install a cleanout on the outside of the house. We were directed by the consumer where to dig and repair. That is what we did.We were then contacted by the consumer that there was a problem. Artie then went to site and ran a camera down the new cleanout and confirmed that the repair was properly done and that there were no obstructions. That information was then relayed to consumer. Since our work was done on the main drain for the house and everything other than the washing machine drains properly it appears that the problem is with the washing machine drain inside the house not the main drain outside the house. Our work was to repair the pipe on the outside of the house, which was checked by video camera and no dirt or obstruction was found in the line. It should also be noted that we performed the work where the consumer directed us to work any work at diferent locations would not be part of our contract.

The washing machine drain is connected to the main drain and as explained to them the water had a mixture of dirt and tree pieces right after their work was done. I was home all day and Artie never came to my house or on the property as I worked from the front room all day. Artie did say that unless I paid $250 that he would not run the camera in the line. As in all previous times, when Artie came to my house he also made me aware that he was there and this didn't happen either. They themselves stated that the dirt collapsed and they were having issues getting as deep as they should go. They also did not protect the pavement and demolished the pavement as well because instead of placing some tracks to run the machine onto the property they just drove it onto the property without precaution. Dirt is coming through the drain which confirms that they got dirt into the drain.
As I stated in my response BFMD was directed by the consumer as to where to dig and what to repair. This information had been given to her by another contractor.BFMD did not make the original diagnosis of the issue at hand. We only did what we were directed to do by the consumer.That being said our work was done and checked and it was determined to be done correctly. If the consumer is still having issues it must be caused by something other than what we did. This is proven by the fact the rest of the drains in the house are working properly. If our work was defective then the drains would not either and the whole house would back up not just the drain she is referring to. Our original job was to repair the main drain.
