BG Boxers

On November 15, 2013 I and my husband entered into an agreement with [redacted] for the purchase of a Boxer, [redacted] that was born on July 22, 2013. We put down a deposit for [redacted] on November 15, 2013 of $600.00. On December 22nd we picked the dog up from [redacted] at her home in [redacted] NC at this time we paid the remaining balance of $500.00. The dog was to be a Christmas gift for our children ages 11, 13 and 14. The following day we took [redacted] to the [redacted] Veterinary Hospital for a wellness check as required in the contract. During the visit the doctor stated that [redacted] had a stage 4 heart murmur. Under the advice of the vet she recommended that we take [redacted] back as this was a sign of an unhealthy puppy. We contacted [redacted] on that day and advised of the findings of the vet and stated that we wanted to return the puppy because it was unhealthy. We agreed that we would return the puppy on December 24, 2013. [redacted] states that she took [redacted] to the [redacted] Veterinary Cardiologist ( Dr [redacted] and there was a procedure performed to determine that [redacted] has a heart abnormality known as valvular aortic stenosis (AS). We advised [redacted] that this puppy would not be a fit for our family and we had no desire to keep [redacted]. It was at this time we asked [redacted] for a refund of our $1,100 because she failed to up hold the contract by selling an unhealthy puppy. [redacted] stated that because of the contract she had no intention of refunding our money. We have asked [redacted] on 2 different occasions on when we can expect a replacement puppy or if we get first pick of the next litter. She states we will not get first pick of the litter and has stated that if the next puppy comes out with the same issue she will not refund our money. During a phone conversation on December 23, 2013 we asked [redacted] if she could provide health records of the mother and father of [redacted] and she stated she would be happy to do that. We also asked for the formal records from the vet in which she took [redacted] to so that she could ensure he had no parasites as stated in her health records. In an email on February 12, 2014 she stated that she could not and did not agree to provide those records. Our overall experience with [redacted] has been one that has caused mental distress for me and my family. This was to be a Christmas gift for my children and as a result of the unhealthy puppy she has provided me we are still left with no puppy. Furthermore she is giving an unreasonable date in which she expects that we should wait for a replacement puppy. Based off the email it will be potentially October 2014 or later before we get another puppy. This email is to serve as a formal complaint against [redacted] and BG BoxersProduct_Or_Service: Puppy Desired SettlementI would like for [redacted]/ BG Boxers to refund my $1100 so that I may purchase a healthy puppy for my family.
