50/50. He stated that the customers informed him they had taken the car to a Nissan dealership and it was going to be more to repair the car than what they paid, and he also offered at that point to let them trade that car that they didn't want for another. He said that he is waiting to hear back from the customer about his offer, but is willing to work with them to resolve the issues.

Review: My son purchased a used car from B&H. The car had a state inspection done on it by the dealer. Before we got the car home the check engine light came on. We called the dealer and he said to bring the car back to the shop and they would run diagnostics. We brought the car back the next morning and it was determined that we needed 2 parts. We agreed to buy the two parts from the dealer and he would install them for free. The dealer ordered the parts and the car was driven home. The next morning the car stalled as soon as it was put into gear. We called the dealer and he said he would send the mechanic to the house to look at it since the mechanic lived close by. The mechanic did show up at the house around 9:00PM. He had been drinking, drank while there, and smelled like marijuana. He fooled with the car for over an hour but could not get the diagnostic tool that he brought with him to work so he really didn't do anything to the car. For whatever reason, after fooling with the car, the mechanic was able to drive it around the neighborhood without it stalling so he left. We let the car sit until the parts arrived. When they arrived, my son drove the car to the dealership, the parts were installed, and the car was driven home. The next morning, the car would not run and it stalled as soon as it was put ito gear. We had the car towed back to the dealership and asked for our money back. The dealer said no but he would get a better mechanic to work on it at no cost. A couple days later he said the car was fixed so my son picked it up and drove it home. The next morning the car stalled as soon as it was put in gear. We towed it to an independant mechanic. He diagnosed the problem right away. Two of the 3 engine mounts were broken and when the car was put in gear, the engine moved so much it pressed on the electrical wiring causing the car to stall. The motor mounts are a state inspection item and should have been fixed by the dealer before sale.Desired Settlement: The car underwent a state inspection by the dealer and the broken engine mounts should have been identified and fixed prior to sale. As is no warranty doesn't mean dealers can fudge state inspections. My resolution is for the dealer to pay for my mechanics expenses to fix the broken wiring and broken engine mounts. Also he should pay for the towing fees. The second option is for the dealer to buy the car back plus pay for towing and mechanical services already rendered.
