Review: I was at Biang last night (May **, 2014) with three friends enjoying our meals when I noticed an object in my food. I immediately stopped eating and scooped the object out only to realize it was the butt of a cigarette. I then called the server over and told him what happened. He did not say much, instead he immediately grabbed the dish and went in the back. When he came out from the back, he stated it was in fact a cigarette and accused me of planting it. I was outraged and asked to speak to his [redacted]. He then went in the back again. When he came back to our table he told me I could not speak to a [redacted] and that if we don't want to pay for our meal than he will call the police because there is surveillance cameras surrounding us. I told him "I am not paying for this, if you think I planted it than check your tapes". He refused to check the cameras and proceeded to call the cops. When the officers from precinct 109 arrived, they asked the server what the problem was and he replied, "they had a cigarette butt in their food and now they don't want to pay". One of the officer's asked if there was in fact a cigarette butt in my food and was shocked when the waiter replied "yes", but they still have to pay. The officer then told me that although he agreed I should not have to pay, the police don't have much jurisdiction over the matter. I then told the officer all I want is to speak to a [redacted]. The police officer was also shocked that I was not able to speak to a [redacted] (I was at the restaurant for a total of three hours, two of the hours were spent waiting for the cops) and he demanded to speak to the [redacted] himself. The server then called the [redacted] and put him on the phone with the officer. The [redacted] told the officer that I should bring the restaurant to court if I in fact did not plant the cigarette myself. I felt I was waisting the police officers time at this point and the situation was going nowhere so my friends and I paid for our half eaten meals and left.Desired Settlement: My friends and I paid $61.13 for a meal we were only able to eat half of. Although it is not a huge amount, we are all college students and we are able to go out to eat 4 times a year at most. I have the receipt in my possession and would like a full refund.
