We processed a replacement for this customer on 8/8.  We have been actively working with them to provide a resolution that is satisfactory to all involved.

I am rejecting this response because:I believe this was a "bait and switch" which has cost me additional money. In...

speaking with the company representative, he did agree to the return of the money I spent, which was completed. However, the gentleman represented that the manufacturer no longer made the specific unit, this had been their ([redacted]) last unit, was untested and they extended an offer for another unit of lesser capability. They did have more expensive units with higher output, which was an alternative direction presented, which I rejected as it was not offered at the same price.In purchasing a replacement unit from another firm, it turns out the unit provided is the same model unit as initially provided by [redacted], which has now cost me an additional $150 in product cost. I have never been compensated for the installation costs of the [redacted] unit, all of which cost me an additional $170 dollars in total, above and beyond the price I paid and contracted for, with [redacted]. As an anecdote, until last week the same [redacted] unit was being advertised on the internet, at the same price I paid; which if it is no longer available and no longer sold by [redacted], what is this about?Lastly, I had been told by the gentleman that since they no longer sold the unit in question, that rather than having it returned, it would be designated as "destroy in place" which I have complied with.Thus, unless there is any further prejudicial action by [redacted], I will consider this matter closed, but not resolved favorably do to breach of contract and additional costs to me, and will take the additional step of small claims litigation should it become necessary.
