Bickley's Air Conditioning Reviews (4)

In response to Mrs. [redacted]'s complaint:When Frank Bickley came to your home, he had the wrong work order with him, he decided to use it anyway. That's why the work order didn't have your name or address on it.The secretary, Gretchen, was not told that the part was under warranty. She would have put that information on the work order and the invoice. We apologize for that overnight. There was a delay getting out the invoice, because Gretchen was out for two days.We are sorry for the series of errors that resulted in the poor service that you received.Sincerely,Frank Bickley

I am rejecting this response because:the invoice that [redacted] sent me was not accurate, either. The amount I paid for the services was$271.66. That was for the complete service of replacing a motor in less than an hour-which I was charged 1 1/2 hour for. The emphasis is, the "invoice " that Gretcen evenually sent me at her convenience was inaccurate. What is wrong with these people? Its beyond," excuse me I made a mistake". Because they wouldn't offer me any  proper receipt until I contacted you. Then, the "invoice" that [redacted] sent me in the mail is not accurate. Come on, where can I get some honest business service in this area?

Review: [redacted] came out to my home 7/11/14 and checked my water heater. They deemed it hazardous and contracted the repair/replacement out to bickleys. I have been without hot water for three weeks. I called bickleys today 7/30/14 and was told they will be scheduling the work sometime next week. I was not given a date, time or anything. I am really tired of taking cold showers and I am disabled and suffer lower back pain. Taking a hot bath helps to alleviate some of my back pain. If a contractor is unable to handle the work load within a reasonable time frame they shouldn't accept the work.Desired Settlement: I would like to get my hot water back soon

Review: I hired Bickley's to come to my home to repair an air cooler. Mr Bickley came to my home on 5/6/15 and went up on my roof and pulled the cooler motor and was gone in less than 15 minuteas. He showed up the next day with a new motor and went up on the roof to replace the one he had taken. When he finished the job, some 1/2 hour later, he came down and asked to go inside of my house to discuss the bill. He told me that he preferred all cash, but I wasn't prepared to pay all cash, as I usually use my credit card to pay such bills. But I felt somewhat intimidated by his request, and that he was in my home...I gathered up $171.66 in cash and gave him a check for $100. Then he tried to walk out, but I said, hey, I need a receipt for the work you did. I was told by Mr Bickley that it was under warrenty for 1 year, but I needed a receipt to prove that. He quickly tore a receipt apart and handed it to me, and left rather quickly.I sat down right after he left to analyze the receipt and found out that the receipt he gave me had the amounts I gave him on them, but the receipt did not have my name, address or telephone # on them.So I called their office immediately and told [redacted], on her answering machine that I was the wrong receipt and I wanted a verifiable document for the work that I had just paid for. She later called me back(that was 5/7/15) telling me they would get right on that and get me an appropriate receipt right away. Well, I've been waiting every day for that receipt, but I don't have it yet.I already paid for the bill of $271.66, for the work done ($171.66 in cash, and 1 check for $100).And I understand the work has a 1 year warrenty for the parts I paid for, but that claim would not be true without a RECEIPT!!!I did talk to [redacted] today, and she siad they would get a receipt out to me when they had the time. I asked when that would be, and she said in a few days, as she was busy. How unprofessional is that? They already have my money for the work done, but they won't give me ?Desired Settlement: Give me a veifiable document explaining the parts removed and the parts replaced in my cooler.Give me a receipt that is realistic to the time you spent working at my home.Give me an honest receipt...

Response:

Not professional was the receipt I received today in the mail. It didn't indicate all of the cash I paid, or the complete payments. The invoice stated that I still owed $1.00, which is so stupid. I paid the entire amount due at the time of the repair job. I paid all of it right away, because MR Bickley said he wanted the payment in cash. That was a surprise to me, as I usually pay my debts with a credit card. I gathered up what cash I had in the house and gave him EXACTLY $171.66 in cash, and a check for $100. to pay the bill completely. So when I got the invoice from Bickley's today I consider it ludicrous that they still are trying to charge me $1.00 because they do not know how to count, properly.
