My experience with this site was really badI wish I had read some forum reviews beforehandIcing on the cake was how rude the customer reps were on of the calls to the store

Review: I purchased a pair of Mavic 2014/15 Men's Crossmax Enduro Mountain Bike Racing Shoe on April [redacted] for $189. I rode 1 time with these shoes, and they caused me a very large amount of discomfort to the cleat area on the bottom of my foot. I made adjustments to the cleats and brought them further forward and tried them the next day. The discomfort also shifted forward on my foot and inhibited my riding.

I've decided that I can't ride in them because, I can't pedal effectively and decided to return them. I filed a return through [redacted] and it was declined based on store policy that used items can't be exchanged or refunded.

My entire problem is this: These shoes are $189 and I can't use them because of this policy. This is an online order, so how would I be able to try them on, pedal around and assess them without using them? I've never in my life ever experienced this response from a vendor. If the product did not meet my expectations, why do I have to waste $189 dollars on shoes that cause me discomfort while I use them?
