Worst service ever. Not only did it take over 3 weeks for a request of complete tune up, the big package at 200$, once arrived to pick up the actual bike I had to wait INSIDE the store and not receive any service for a good 10 minutes. Many employees who were not busy at that time were walking around and not paying attention to me. At all. At a point the person who seemed like the owner (at least sure walks like he own the place) asked me in a semi rude tone (The tone people use when they think you have no business being there) what I wanted and why I was there. I explained to him why I was there and a mild frustration of over waiting for service. His first decision in that matter was to find the person who let me in and put the blame on that person. No ownership of the situation and actually getting my issue solved. After his blaming attemps which I stopped by telling him it is irrelevant who let me in, I am here and wish to be served.
He accused me of *** and he overheard me talking about his competition where they offer proper service . Once he understood what I wanted he simply had someone else (see a pattern of never taking ownership and always passing the buck), he did nothing but attempt to make me look like the one at fault and then blame it on the employee.
*** The way the owner greeted me was very disdainful and accusatory. He basically asked me what was I doing there as if I had no business being present. He attempted to make a spectacle of my issue and reduce it to a simple joke or misunderstanding. *** Oh and as per the actual tune up, my breaks are still not as tight as they should be, I am not going back there ever. Been a customer for years and always had relatively OK experience. This one is what broke the camel's back.
Incompetent, *** That sums up the experience at Bicyclette de Hull. I would recommend anywhere else.
Ps The staff is very nice and friendly. I have sympathy for those young people who have to deal with a boss like that. Good luck to you all and hopefully you find a different place to work at as he seem to propagate toxicity on a very high level.
