Review: I have two major issues with this business. 1. Myself and one other person in my party got BED BUGS from this hotel. 2. I stayed at this hotel (the second year in a row) for a business conference in July. My party had a reservation for five nights. I stayed two nights, and paid for those upon checking out, and a colleague of mine checked in for the other nights and paid upon leaving for those nights. We have financial records of correct payment as well. The Bienville House even acknowledged that they have my card on file and show those payments. Today, October 30th, over three months later, I was charged $596.12 by the Bienville house. They are now claiming that the other person in my party didn't pay (she did, and has proof) and that therefore I should be charged. I spoke with them and told them all this, they acknowledged having proof of my previous payment, and still said it didn't matter. They said they were showing that they had these nights that weren't paid for. I told them that must be an error on their part because we have proof of payment, and they said it still didn't matter. I asked them to refund me the money while they are figuring out what happened, (especially because I am in the middle of a cross-country move, and they overdrew on my account) and they still refused. I asked to speak to the manager's manager, and was sent to voicemail. I have since called multiple times and left multiple messages, and have gotten no response. I get my colleague involved, who wrote emails to them, to no response. (I believe they reached out to her previously, but as I said she has proof of correct payment so they had my card on file and just charged it. They must have had an accounting error or error with how many nights we stayed.) After both of us showing them we have already paid the correct amounts, now I consider this to be robbery. I will be contesting this charge with my bank and for the overdraft fee it caused. They should not allowed to do this to people. This is outrageous.Desired Settlement: $600 plus my overdraft fee. Additionally, they should have all their rooms treated for bed bugs and should pay for my bed bug cleaning fee that I paid to have my apartment cleaned.
