Big Bear Import Brokers Reviews (4)

I purchased an "Eye Prize" machine from Aaron P. and Paul R. with the "Glow Machine" company that came with a 90 day money back guarantee and a 180 day guaranteed sales or I would receive credit on my account towards future product. Turns out the guarantee is only good if your machine reaches the sales goal, if it doesn't it's to bad they won't stand behind it. The machine ended up $5,400.00 short of the goal, I received two cases of product from Glow Machine and email confirmations from Aaron expressing that I have a $4,200.00 balance towards future product. Long story short, I never received anything towards the $4,200.00. Aaron did a smoke and mirror act and converted his company from Big Bear Import Bokers LLC to Vtail LLC and said that my debt was no longer valid. I named both entities (Big Bear Import Bokers LLC and Vtail LLC) along with the dba "Glow Machine" in a small claims law suit and won.

Review: The machine I was sold never worked right, it was defective from the first day. They guarantee 90 day money back no questions. I sent the machine back well within the 90 days. Upon receiving the machine I was told that there were almost 700 dollars worth of damage to the machine after being told it was packaged very well. I was told these were not freight damages but damage I did to the machine. This is not how it was sent back. I did not have the machine long enough to even get normal wear and tear on it. The only thing broke when I sent it back was the lock. The rest of the damage had to come from someone prying it off the pallet after it got there or the freight company. They now refuse to refund my money without taking out the 700 dollars worth of damage. If you are going to do demos you have to assume some sort of risk in people using your machine. If I had done that much damage to there machine I would have called first and told them or tried to fix it myself. I think it got damaged maybe by accident after it was received and it was just easy to bill me for it since I was not there and they already had my money. I think its a scam. Part of the so called damage was to a part around the top that affected the locking of the machine. Two holes were oblong and needed to be fixed and I was told the only way was to replace that top. Guess what part was damaged somehow by me. The top part with the oblong holes that came that way from the factory. The other part was done by someone prying on the machine to remove it from the shipping pallet instead to removing the screws holding it down.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund for the machine. I did not damage it I returned it in new condition and should not be billed for negligence on there part after the machine was sent back to them.

Review: This company is now known as Vtail,LLC and-or Affinity Vending. In the summer of 2013 at Bowl Expo (an annual bowling industry convention) I was offered a seemingly great deal to trade in my older (but functional) vending machine for their new version. With tax the price came out to a little over $6000 but the contract offered $4300 of retail-value product as compensation for the purchase. The machine arrived rather quickly and I was to crate up the old machine for pick up. While a little slow to pick up the old machine the new machine looked great with a video screen and flashy lighting. Unfortunately there were a couple of problems. First they did only deliver enough product to fill two of the three bins in the machine and one of those two bins had a difficult to find defect in the vending mechanism that made the machine malfunction (and take customer's money with no way to verify) approximately 5-10% of the time. Then, within weeks, several of the flashy lights failed as well. The vending problem was so obscure that I was not expert enough to deal with it and nor did I have the time. Telephone "support" while friendly enough did not yield helpful results either. After several months and huge customer dissatisfaction I just rolled the machine into a storage room and there it sat while I had to deal with more pressing business and life issues. Finally last fall I decided to give it another shot when the machine blew a main fuse. Upon replacing the fuse the glow stick vend eventually stopped functioning outright which allowed me to discover the original manufacturing defect. We are now approaching 21 months since the purchase and the company has never provided all of the promised product nor have they responded to my recent requests to supply the parts to fix the original defect. I'm still out approximately $4000 and have no product for the two working bins. On a separate note: They even attempted to charge me for product that was supposed to have been included in the sale price.Desired Settlement: The product has the potential to be great and I would really just like them to start making good on the promises they made. I would like the remaining capsule product sent for the two working bins and the requested replacement motor and lighting for the glow stick mechanism. My requests have been ignored for more than 30 days and if this continues I plan to pursue a refund.
