We treated Ms. [redacted] on 10/18/16, per the notes provided. She returned again and was treated again for the same filling needed on her tooth. Dr. G[redacted] explained to her about the type of filling he was doing; incisal edge fillings break easily and that he recommends that the patient get a partial to help with her bite.
We denied her total refund request because we treated her twice and the problem would continue, which is the reason Dr. G[redacted] recommended alternative treatment. The fillings done on the incisal edge of her front tooth are not permeant restorations due to her bite.
The filling coming out is not a treatment/procedure issue, but an issue of how the patient bites together with her natural teeth.
Ms. [redacted] does have a $21.00 credit in our office which was adjusted from the cost of her treatment, as a courtesy for being a cash paying patient. The cost associated with her visit were not only for a filling, but for a radiograph to diagnose the problem and her exam with the doctor.
I am unsure where Ms. [redacted] would assume our prices would be cheaper because we are an emergency clinic. We operate with the upmost integrity and compassion when treating our patients. We hope Ms. [redacted] takes Dr. G[redacted]’s recommendation for a partial or a more permanent solution to her dental needs.
