Big City Moms Reviews (1)

Review: As per requirement of Big City Mom Baby Shower event I paid a registration fee of $150 and $6 processing fee to have 800 of my business postcards placed in the event's gift bags and some that were to be raffled. The first time I sent the postcards they were returned to me because no one was in the address, given to me by [redacted] at Big City Moms, to receive package. Hence, I incurred a double delivery fee of $50 since I had to resend. Although I was told the second time around package was received none of my postcards were used in the Gift Bag or Raffled at the Baby Shower Event, which is in breach of the contractual agreement. This was confirmed to me by many people that I work with and family members that attended event.Desired Settlement: Since the contractual agreement was not honored I'd like to have all the fees I paid refunded to me including $150 registration and $6 proccessing fee.

Business Response

Thank you for bringing this complaint to our attention.

[redacted] contact at Big City Moms responded to her inquiry which came in on September **, 2013 almost 1 year after the event had taken place (The event in question was held on November **, 2012) and had assured her that her materials were placed into the gift bags as the records from our fulfilment center show them being so.

Since the event was held almost 1 year ago we do not have a physical gift bag to show her as proof that her postcards were in the bags. If she contacted us immediately (after her "friends" told her about the cards) we would have been more than happy to give her a bag as proof.

Unfortunately we cleaned out our warehouse in the spring and we do not have any of the old bags.

We advise all companies - big and small - that paper is not the best way to advertise a product or service in our bags as paper tends to get overlooked with all the samples and full size items that are placed in the same bags as paper.

Big City Moms is a company that goes out of our way to help businesses grow and make everyone happy - Our company representative offered [redacted] some alternatives such as speaking opportunities at events, additional advertising for free along with other means of promotional opportunities. [redacted] turned down those offers as she is no longer in business/living in New York.

Going forward we as a company will make a policy of having a paperless gift bag by not allowing companies to put promotional paper in them so we will avoid situations like this.

Thank you and we wish [redacted] the best of luck on her new venture.
