is relieved of paying a buy-out fee. The membership continues on a month-to-month basis until the member wishes to cancel. The membership never cancels on its own and is only cancelled when the member either cancels in person or via certified mail. I explained this to the member on July 3, 2014 as I notated this on the member's account.
Planet Fitness does not bill based on usage, but rather active memberships — as stated on every agreement, "If you have a minimum monthly term, your account below will be billed for a minimum of 12 months and will continue on a month-to-month basis at the monthly rate above until you cancel in accordance with this agreement."
