That is when numerous issues and the severity of the issues came to light for usWe have a cathedral room that is feet wide by feet long and feet highOne wall is out of plumb by almost inches!!! Visibly you can see the windows at the top leaning inward! Also, the trusses for that space are not fully resting on one side of the load bearing wall!! Wow!! He acknowledged these issues and did not deny them nor did he offer to correct them! Let’s not forget the dryer hose they forgot to place into the interior wall prior to sheetrocking our home! The door rough in s also needs to be torn out and repaired to reflect a standard door size 6’ 8”!! They were all different sizes and some were 6’ 6” or smaller!! Please bear in mind this is a new build! He was more interested in collecting a draw for money than correcting anything or being present to know what was going on with the projectHe had no idea! He was never there! We have text documentation as well as witnesses to conversation with himWe ended up firing this carpenter December 1st, 2017! Best choice we made! Please be aware if you consider this builder to build anything for you! Walls will not be level, doors will not be right! Be prepared to pay top dollar! He does not watch your spending, you need to! He just wants your money! Be aware! He does not know how to form foundations either! bags of floor levelor for one corner of our foundation!! Look out! Very shoddy work! Extremely disappointed! All we wanted was a nice home built! Do not trust him to build your home!! One of the biggest investments of your life! We will be taking this person to court!
