Working with Erik and his crew from Big Fish could not have been more pleasant. My first experience was an elective roof replacement on home and garage. Unlike many contractors you see take a week or more, Big Fish came in with a large crew and completed the job in one day. Left everything cleaned up very well. My second job was due to a persistent water leak into kitchen from snow on a second floor flat porch roof. Two crew members were sent out the same day to clear snow. After careful evaluation the recommendation was to remove the exterior door. The whole project then involved replacing the flat roof surface, removing the door, replacing two windows on that side of house with siding/insulation replacement. In addition, interior repair was needed to repair the wall defect from door removal and repair/painting of kitchen leak and several affected rooms. All of these arrangements were made through Big Fish.
Could not have been more pleased with the skill/attention of all involved. Would not hesitate to use them again.

I first used Erik and Big Fish Contracting to tackle a complete exterior remodel of my 1981 ranch in 2012. Erik's crew ripped off old siding, gutters and roof and replaced everything including a 50-year roof, all new aluminum soffit and fascia, new gutters and downspouts, vinyl siding and a new sliding patio door on our deck. It was a lot of work and was done quickly and professionally. I did have one piece of fascia work itself loose and I was just as impressed with the service after the install as Erik had someone there quickly to reinstall and make sure it wouldn't be a recurring issue.
Based on the initial experience, when we built our new house during the summer of 2015 I worked with the builder to again use Erik and Big Fish for the siding of the new house. This time I used LP SmartSide and Erik's team completed the exterior work including very nice detail work on our craftsman-style columns and gable brackets. Erik is very fair and will go our of his way to make sure you are happy. I know his quality work helped us sell our old home quickly with great curb appeal and we appreciate the beauty of our new home everyday. Highly recommend.

Professional roof replacement from beginning to end. Erik D. was very accomodating to our needs. He offered suggestions on how to resolve our gutter system that were sensitive to our desire to reclaim the rain water for sustainability. His men installed the rainbarrel for us and offered insight on placement that improved the usage. The roof has added value to our home. Erik D. allowed the family to vote on shingle color and was able to accomodate a shingle color that my son pick. The home has a cottage feel now and it looks better than before. Thanks Big Fish, I would definately recommend you to others.

Big Fish Contracting put new rain gutters on my entire home. They also performed some miscellaneous power washing etc. They had a great price, arrived on time, handled a few unplanned issues very professionally and left me with nothing but a good feeling about the company. Big Fish Contracting is a wonderful company and I give them the highest rating in quality of work . Many of my neighbors stop by to look at their work and commented on how detailed they were. They are easy to work with both the owner and the job foreman. They are kind and courteous and I've never heard any bad language at all at any time from their regular employees.
My home was a complete makeover, I had the roof replaced along with the gutters and skylights. Then they replaced the siding and windows. The end result was a beautiful looking home airtight and much quieter inside.
Erik the owner has a good eye for detail and always kept his word.

This was a no stress transaction. [redacted] crew showed up on time and did a great job finishing before expectations. He repaired and reroofed a standard roof as well as a flat roof. They replaced damaged siding and replaced the end of life gutters. [redacted] made some great suggestions regarding detailing that did not impact overall cost and all was done very reasonably.

I used Big Fish Contracting to tear off and replace the roof on the home I purchased in 2010. Ever since the roof was replaced, I've noticed water damage to the siding all around the chimney that continually gets worse after every winter and after every time it rains. I've contacted them three different times now in the last year considering the contract I signed came with a 5 year workmanship warranty. As of today, more water damage to the siding has occurred and the problem still hasn't been corrected. Went ahead and had a few other contractors come out to look at it and all of them have said the same thing... when the roof was replaced, flashing should have been installed all the way around the chimney to divert any water away from the siding and into the gutters. My chimney has NO flashing. Was also told that the roof should have a drip edge along the sides of the house where there are no gutters, which needless to say, was never installed either. Big Fish gives cheap quotes because their work is in fact cheap in quality. Will never recommend them to anyone as the money I thought I was saving because of the low quote is in turn costing me double to fix all the damage caused by this company's carelessness. I'm not a happy homeowner.
