Big Island Lending Group Reviews (4)

I did pre approve these borrowers on the income they presented at the first interview and then the borrower reduced her hours and became an on call employee. I was never provided that information in the initial or any other converstaion with the borrower and on call basis employees have income
calculated very differently. A reduction in hours is one thing but changing the position to on call was completely different. I also received a new hire letter on behalf of the other borrower and used the numbers that were provided in that letter and upon verification of that income via the employer and pay stub it did not match the letter in any way. I felt like I was being bullied by clients that did not even properly disclose their incomeWe clearly tell all of our borrowers not to change jobs, incur new debt or a whole list of other items that can jeopardize home ownershipThe underwriter and I did our best but were not able to make this happen as the income numbers were not provided to us accurately. I also want to confirm that I was on the mainland taking care of my very sick mom and moving her into assisted living for a week and after a very tough move that was the one thing I did for myself. I went to a warrior gameI will be happy to refund the money they paid for the appraisal and if that is acceptable then I will immediately send them a check. Inspections or any other funds they spent were not at my direction and based on incorrect information provided to me. Thank you for your time and attention and looking forward to your reply.Tell us why here

[redacted] Aloha [redacted],      I appreciate you reopening the case as I did not receive the initial email.     In response to the businesses response, I would like to make it very clear that my husband and I were completely honest when we first went to see Gina B[redacted] at Big Island Lending Group. We made it abundantly clear that my hours were going to change as I was training at my new job. That job was always an on call position, from the very beginning. I never changed from full time to on call. I made it painfully clear that because I was just starting there, and was training, I was working more hours but the position was on call because I care for my infant son and am unable to work full time hours. Never did I change my position from full time to on call. Whether she listened to and heard what we said is perhaps another issue.      We were also very empathetic to the fact that she was caring for her ailing mother on the mainland. I spent many hours and conversations on the [redacted] listening to her tell me about it. It was because of our empathy and our trying to be patient with that information that we didn't switch to another mortgage broker when our [redacted] calls and emails started to be ignored and disregarded. We kept trying to wait it out because we knew she was being pulled in many directions. I would also like to add that it wasn't just our emails and [redacted] calls that were ignored, it was emails and [redacted] calls from our agent as well as the sellers agent that were not being responded to.      To be called a bully is blatant slander and a veritable defamation of our character. We were unnecessarily patient and believe that we were taken advantage of because of our first time home buyer inexperience. If the numbers weren't going to work, we would have appreciated being told that many months before. We found out this information the Monday before we were going to close (we were supposed to close on Wednesday) on our home-we were at the end of escrow! And the only reason we figured it out was because she never called to tell us the loan would be approved. We never got a call it couldn't be approved either. It seems to me it would be a basic courtesy to your clients to be open, honest, and communicative with them.      Because she agrees to refund us the cost of the appraisal, we will accept the refund. Much mahalo for your quick responses and open communication with us, [redacted]. Aloha,      [redacted] and [redacted]  Sent from my [redacted]
