Big Joe's Auto Sales Reviews (3)

I purchased a car from Big Joe's Auto in Trevose in Nov. 2014. The truck was a Saturn Outlook 2009. I think that the dealer knew there were issues with the truck, prior to selling it to me. The truck was great until it wasn't. I went back to where I purchased the vehicle and the warranty. I've continually had to call and follow-up. Big Joe never called me back. They gave me the WHACK warranty, and charged me $2500 for it, and the warranty people won't pay. I'm just displeased as a consumer. I overpaid for a vehicle because of the need for transportation. I'm not sure whether it was because I'm a woman or because they already have my money, so they no longer feel the need to assist any issues with the vehicle.

Review: I bought a 2005 [redacted] from big joe auto.I requested for the vehicle [redacted] and I was given an uncompleted or altered [redacted].I was having issues with the vehicle same day I bought the truck with the check engine light on and and another error sign showing on the dash board.I went back to the sales rep at the office at [redacted],PA.I was refered to the owner at the workshop but on my way I stop at [redacted] sales and service and got a second opinion about the check engine lights on the vehicle. I was told the truck had been involved in a front end accident and the head light is defective and would cost $1450 to fix. Fortunately I check the vehicle compartment and found the details of the front end accident repairs. I took all my evidences with the uncompleted [redacted] report I was given by the sales rep to the **.Joe at his workshop on [redacted] PA but I was astonished when he refused to fix the truck and refused to comply with the limited warranty on the vehicle.I'll like everyone to be aware that Big Joe auto sales are fraudulent and deceitful with their business. The [redacted] I was given by Big Joe auto was tempered with or uncompleted. I also discovered the vehicle price was inflated. I'll like to advise people to avoid doing business with Big Joe auto [redacted],PA.Desired Settlement: Repair the Vehicle and ensure its working properly as stated in the [redacted] report with no check engine or any defect sign on the dash board.

To whom it may concern:

The [redacted] states the 2005 [redacted] is clean and we gave a copy to the cus[redacted]er we had not known about any accidents because the car was not damaged when we purchased the car. Also we purchased the car because of the clean [redacted]. The only problem the car had was a check engine light and a few minor things in which we fixed at no cost to the cus[redacted]er. The cus[redacted]er also had bad credit and that is why the price went up through the financing with the bank which charged 21% interest rate. The finance manger explained everything and the cus[redacted]er understood because he knew his credit was bad and he was trying to bring his credit score by financing the car. The [redacted] never reported any accident and also the car is a used car not a brand new car. Sorry **. [redacted] feels that way towards Big Joes Auto Sales but he was also aware he was buying a used car not a brand new car.

Sincerely

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Review: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: Big Joe was not truthful with his response. It was obvious with his reactions when I presented him the evidence that the vehicle was in an accident, It was obvious he was surprised I found that out and even showed him the evidence. He attempted taking the paper work from me but I refused. He had the vehicle as "Certified used car "which means the car was well inspected before it was put on the lot for sale. At point of sale the salesman [redacted] was aware of the check engine light and the hazard light sign (Tire pressure sign like),I complained and I was assured everything would be taking care of after the sales was completed. [redacted](sales person)called Joe and gave me the address to the office and mechanic/maintenance shop at Torresdale .He assured me all the lights on the dash board given me concern would be taking care of.I went to Mr.Joe's office and discussed my concern about the vehicle I have just bought from his lot and that was the second day after the purchase.Initially he said the hazard sign was a tire pressure sign and he said no big deal I just need to put pressure(air)in my tires and he promised to take care of the check engine light.I wasn't satisfied with his response about the hazard light sign because I put pressure in my tires and the sign was still on.Then I took the vehicle to [redacted] genuine [redacted] dealership/maintenance .After paying $90.00 to diagnose the problem. I was told by the tech the problem with the vehicle and the hazard light was because the headlight was defective because of an accident. I took the paper work and the analyzes to Joe and immediately became angry because He was trying to avoid the repair or perhaps back up from his initial promises that he was going to handle of the problems with the vehicle.

I have all the paper work and evidences to prove all my statements. All I requested was for Mr.Joe to keep his promises and eradicate/fix and find a solution to the signs(check engine/hazard) on the dash board given me concern but it was obvious he was only concern about the vehicle sales and least concern about customer satisfaction.Regards,[redacted]

Response:

We are sorry if **.[redacted] is unhappy with his purchase. We gave **. [redacted] a [redacted] in which no accidents or damage reported . We also addressed his issues and fix them he has to understand he did not purchase a brand new car its a used car in which it is out of our control if accidents and damage weren't reported .The title was clean no reconstructed or salvaged status. We are not a certified used car dealership and we have never said we were and never advertised we were.

Sincerely

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: The issues with the vehicle was not addressed as stated by Big Joe if the issues were addressed and the problems with the vehicle were fixed,I wouldn't have complained. It's really unfortunate that Big Joe knew there was problems with the vehicle though he deceitfully promised to fix the problems but he never did till date .The vehicle check engine light and the hazard(!)light is still on the dash board. Why is it difficult for Big Joe to fix the problems with the vehicle and stop coming up with excuses. Obviously he's only concern about profit making from cars sales and taking advantage of innocent buyers. I believe the goal of a good business owner should be customer satisfaction not reaping customers off their hard earned money. The solution to this problem is simple, Fix the problems which is the check engine light and (!) light on the dashboard. Big Joe autos need to come up with solutions and not excuses because the vehicle is not in good condition as he had emphasized.

Regards,

Review: The contract stated I had a right to cancel my contract for a full refund, however they did not abide by this. They gave me false information on the car and would not allow me to return the car and cancel my contract. The sales person, [redacted] when I bought the car stated with the vehicle service contract that I would be able to fix any problems with the car. On Saturday 3/16, I got a check engine light on the car and took the car back to have fixed on Monday, [redacted] that day stated they would fix the problems if I went back on Thursday. I went back and they would not fix all of the problems with the car, so I asked for a refund. They stated I was unable to receive a full refund. After a bit, they stated I was only entitled to $10,000. I asked for a copy of the contract, but they would not provide me with a copy. During the week, I took it to the Audi dealership because [redacted] stated the key needed to be reprogramed, however the Audi dealership stated that was wrong and charged me $146 to check the car.Desired Settlement: I want the full refund, I purchased the car for $12,500 including sales tax that they state during the refund that I had not paid and have a receipt of. They refunded me a partial refund of $10,000, so I would like my $2,500 back as I am able to receive a full refund. I also want a refund of the $146 that I paid to check the car at the Audi dealership.

To whom it may concern,

[redacted] purchased a 2006 Audi A6 from Big Joes Auto Sales on 3/16/2013 as is, but provided a 3 month 3000 warranty through [redacted] warranty company for power train. He returned the car on 3/23/2013 because the key wouldn't unlock in which their was no problem before he left the lot he took it to Audi in which they billed him for re programing the key in which my boss had the Audi dealership cut and reprogram the key for us prior to them even buying the car. The general manager told him we don't cover the key only engine and trans in which was explained to them before purchasing the car and because their is nothing wrong with the car and her drove around in it for a week and we didn't know what they did to the car before they brought it back so offered them 10,000 in which they accepted.

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

That is not true. First of all, the Audi is a 2005 and not 2006. Before, I purchased the car, I asked the sales guy about the warrenty, and he told me that it covers everything that goes wrong with the car. He explained how I can extend it before the three month expires and buy an extended warrenty, which he had no idea what he was telling me because his manager [redacted] told me totally different inormation about extending the warrenty.
