December 11, 2014On September 30, 2013 our customer [redacted] had carpet installed. We guarantee installation of the carpet for 1 year. The manufacturers offer various warranties for the carpet. Almost 1 year after the carpet was installed [redacted] complained that her carpet was “fuzzing and...

bunching”. On Aug. 26 we sent one of our carpet installers out to look at her carpet. He took a picture but in the camera phone you couldn’t see anything. I explained that we could not see anything wrong but that I would turn the complaint in to the carpet mill anyway hoping that they would send an inspector out . We then decided not to wait for the manufacturer because if there was truly something wrong with her carpet I didn’t want her to have to wait too long to either fix or replace it. contacted the inspection service. On Oct. 17 he went to her home. He, [redacted], also found nothing wrong with her carpet. We were told that fuzzing is not covered under warranty and to find out how often the customer vacuums. Her answer was once a month. There very often are extra fibers in carpet when it is made. In time the fibers stop falling out (fuzzing). This process can be sped up with more aggressive vacuuming. Also, soil on our feet or shoes can build up and cause carpet to flatten out. We suggested that she have her carpet steam cleaned. This often brings the carpet back to life. If the manufacturer finds fault in the carpet they will reimburse her for the cleaning. All involved found nothing wrong with her carpet. As far as being rude, I apologize if in fact anyone here was rude. We all tried to make her happy. She did call here at least once a day, every day, and for obvious reasons found fault in what ever we said. She wanted this carpet put in a different room and for us to just give her carpet for the main room. I would have been more then happy to do this for her had there been anything wrong with her carpet which there was not. I have sent a copy of the inspection agency's report also.Regards,Michele F

Review: I had new carpets installed by Big Marty's Recently I called them to report that I had sustained a nail in my foot from stepping on one of the steps. I also wanted them to pick up 2 rolls of padding as they did not install the new padding, I have called twice and they have not returned the call. I have also noted that the carpeting on the steps does not seem to fit correctlyDesired Settlement: I would like them to come and assess the installation as well as secure all nails as I am trying to avoid blood poisoning. Would like them to retrieve the padding from my hallway

Review: First [redacted] promised to match a competitors price of 1750.00 for the job but after measuring called with a different price. He claims he quoted me 1880.05. I wrote down 1830.00. I gave verbal ok to do the job and after installation was told I needed to write a check

for the 1880.05 which I did. The installers looked like any other number was going to be a real problem but said that [redacted] was good about adjustments. I contacted [redacted] and he agreed to the 1830.00 number and would have a check cut. This occured around Feb 18

and I have still not received a check after several follow ups. I have my order write up and an invoice showing 1830.00 and credit " cuz customer heard price wrong". I found " cuz costomer heard price wrong" a bit offensive and unprofessional but he promised a check and as long as I got my 58.05 I didn't care. I STILL DO NOT HAVE A CHECK.Desired Settlement: I would like at the very least a check for $58.05. After all the trouble that I have gone through I feel that a check for $130.05 and an appology might be more appropriate.

After more than three months I finally received a check for 58.05 dated 5/16/2013 today.
