Review: About two weeks from 6/29/2012 I took my Isuzu Hombre in for an oil change and was told that I would need to have transmission work done. I was told from (Nick) that I would be called back with a quote. Nick did call me back a quoted a rebuilt transmiss for $1308.00. I called Big O Tires back on 6/24/2012 and explained that I would be bringing the truck by on 6/29/2012 and it was agreed that the truck would be ready by 6/30/2012. On 6/30/2012 I received my mail with a Big O Coupon of 15% of services (also included Transmission work). When I came to pay for the truck and get the key on 6/30/2012 between 3pm-3:30pm te total had came to $1,302.51. I submitted the coupon to Nick for the 15% off(coupon code [redacted]) Expires [redacted]. I was not using any other coupons and was not given any other discount that was referenced on my receipt as the coupon states not to be used with any other offers. Which was not being used by me. Kelly ( the owner) was ringing up another customer and Nick whispered that he would not be able to use my coupon since he already quoted me the price of $1,308.00 and it was already discounted. I was not told that was a discounted price when quoted and again I did not see any discounts listed on my receipt. I have been going to this company for over 5 years and have always beenable to use their own company related coupons and was never turned down from using them. That is why they are mailed to their loyal customers...to be used. That coupon would of saved me $195.37 and I feel that they have just lost a loyal customer over $195.37 who has cleary spent extremely more than that in just over a year alone. As I bring them 4 cars in my household to repair. I will be looking for another shop to handle my work as this is the first time that I was denie my saivings and if this is how the company will be operating than it is not a company I will do business with. Why send the coupons in the mail if they will not be honored. I will also be taking this to the Corporate Office as well.Desired Settlement: In order for me to feel releif from this experience I would like a refund of the $195.37 which is what I would have saved with the 15% coupon I was trying to use before Nick whispered he would not be able to take my coupon. I was not sure why he whispered as the owner was standing right next to him. Unless if he gets a commission based on dollars spent and that is why he avoided a loyal customer from using a Corporate mailing discount.
