Big O Tires #4197 Reviews (19)

This week I discover a multitude of discrepancies of replacement parts prices used to repair my BMW I came aware of the issue when on 01/16/I discover that Big O Tires Manager Jaime lied to me regarding a gasoline leak on my fuel tank, Big O Tires performed the work of Replacing a Fuel Pump and Transfer Pump, months ago approximately, after the job was completed and paid for, the Owner of the store made a comment that there was a strong smell of gasoline and that I should have it looked atOn Thursday 01/12/I took my vehicle to have the leak identified, Jaime schedule the work on Friday 01/13/and promised to call me when job was completed, No call on FridayOn Saturday 01/14/I went to pick up the car, Jaime lied to me saying that he had left a message on Friday to notify me that the Fuel Tank was cracked, no details of where the crack was, Jaime suggested I only fill the fuel tank 1/ways to keep it from leaking or otherwise the fuel tank cost could be 4-USD and hours of laborI looked my car home and desided that since I did not have the money for repairs and need the vehicle to make a living as a Lyft driver, I better fins a solution that would not risk my passenger and myself from Gasoline Fuel fumes, I took the Fuel tank cover on the driver side and found a small pool of fuel around the Fuel Pump-Sender which lead me to remove the retaining nut of the Fuel sender and Fuel transfer to my surprise the seals were the originals and were damaged this the gasoline leak, next I went back and demonstrated and proved to Jaime that their technicians did not replace the seals and that Big O should perform the repairs under warranty, Jaime said that he would order the seals and have them ready for MondayOn Monday I showed up to drop the vehicle to get the warranty repair, Jaime called for the parts while I was standing at the counter, so another lie since he never ordered the parts on Saturday, so I lost an entire day of work After reviewing other repairs I found other concerning charges, a Water Pump and Thermostat Water Pump part charge only $i took the initiative to check prices to the public and found an original BMW part for $ USD almost $ diference their explanation Big O has to pick up the parts, I told Jaime he was wrong that all auto parts suppliers deliver at "NO CHARGE" than he changed to "we charge list price for all parts", but also commented that Big O price matches any other competitors which made no sense A BMW battery for BMW from NAPA list at $ Big O mark up $USD I spoke with the Owner this afternoon 01/17/and I was informed that by signing the work order approval I as a consumer agrees to pay whatever they come up on parts used on a repair IT IS A SHAME THAT A NEIGHBORHOOD REPAIR SHOP ENGAGES IN THIS TYPE OF SCAMS But more concerning the fact that their neglilance put my health and life at risk by neglecting to identify and replace the FUEL PUMP SEALS at the time of the repair, any person with a Mechanical Certification and or experience knows that when you replace or repair any Fuel or Hydraulic system, replacing the seals is as critical as the new part IF YOU ARE THINKING OF GETTING REPAIRS AT THIS BRANCH THINK TWICE

I had installed a brand new Chevrolet crate motor in my truck The distributor was stabbed according to specifications but in order to properly time the vehicle, a scan tool is required as you rev the engine above rpm I stopped by the merchant to make sure they were able to handle the ignition timing of my Chevy truck They assured me they had the proper scan tool and a knowledgeable mechanic to do so I dropped off the truck and asked them to set the timing and to look into a power steering leak and transmission leak They said it would be done within a couple of days days later I receive a call that the mechanic thought the crankshaft sensor pigtail was faulty and insisted I needed a new one although a new one had been installed already He then called again and said I had the wrong distributor for the vehicle I had to come to the store to prove the correct part was in fact already installed and show the mechanic a YouTube video to show them how to time it T

I have a Chevy Truck It is well kept up and I have owned for > years I purchased a new Air Cond Compressor a few years ago Recently it appeared that I had a freon leak as there was no cold air only hot I went to the Big O Tire store near my work and explained that I thought I had a leak, would they like to take a look at it They said they would fill with freon and add a dyeI protested but they assured me not to worry that they would recheck and if it leaked they would fix and refill the charge for the freon and a shreader valve was $ At this time they told me I needed a break job and it would cost $ (though they admitted the breaks were not completely gone) After the charge the air ran super cool for days Then all the freon ran out and it was hot again I went back to Big O They checked it out and said that I needed a new clutch on the compressor and gave me an estimate of $ I told they I only paid $for the whole new compress

Horrible service 3:hours to change tires with no other cars in the shop

On August I took my vehicle to the shop for tire issue They damaged my truck didnt tell me and I belive it was not mentioned purposelyBased on the conversation with Ken the owner saying the tech thought he bumped the bumperLooking back the way Dwayne was acting when he gave me my key and the out of ordenary location they parked my truck I called Eric v.p of operations and left messages unansweredThe onwer wanting to give me half of the cost for repairs to not report to insurance and its been almost a week and havent heard how their going to repair my truck it seems like they didnt want to tell me so enough time could pass and release their liabilityDue to the employee admitting to have hit something and the way they acted releasing my vehicle I believe they attempted to cover up the damage they caused

I spoke with the Owner this afternoon 01/17/and I was informed that by signing the work order approval I as a consumer agrees to pay whatever they come up on parts used on a repair

I have had my car serviced at this location for a little over years now Never have I had any issues until recently, I brought my vehicle to this shop after a collision to have the brakes replaced and do a tire rotation and alignment to make sure it was all safe to continue to drive Upon picking up my car it took a few days to notice but there was a new shift in my rear end when I would ride over certain bumps on either side of the road I took the car back to their shop the weekend I noticed the issue, and is the first time I was told about my control arm "looks" bent No one was able to tell me for certain if it actually WAS bent They released the car back to me after rotating the tires and giving it a look After this visit it only took weeks and the tire on the passenger side wore down to the belt on the inside of the tire, the driver side was doing the same but not as extreme I then took the vehicle to a friend of mine who does body and frame work, to which he stated

Took my car in for a standard oil changeleft Big O, after approximately to miles of driving my car seized upI had it towed to Big O this was approximately after midnight on 6-6- My son-in-law took me to Big O 7:am on 6-6- they told me they would get right on it to see what happen I had to have my daughters take over dealing with them as I was not getting anyone with Big O to communicate what happen with my carAs of now 6.9.16, we still do not know the status of my car My son-in-law checked the car and told me there was no oil and the oil plug was off

I was out of town on an an emergency and did not see the response that was sent on the 19th.  I had checked the site before I left town on the 18th and did not see anything at that time.  I did not receive an email from you that the business had responded.  I do not accept the businesses response.   The technician assured Joe that the freon charge was for diagnostic only.  The 200 charge for this was not to be charged again if it leaked out.  Joe told them there was a leak. This response is unacceptable.--[redacted]

Again, this is standard practice to trouble shoot an air conditioning leak that is not immediately visible, our offer is the discounted price on the work estimated to repair the problem. We are not refunding money for a service we have provided, the original offer of a discounted rate is all we are going to do.

customers vehicle was brought into a dealership and is currently being repaired

We give estimates prior to doing work, we will not refund for a service that was provided to the customer in order to trouble shoot the air conditioning issue, when we can not see an immediate problem the recommendation is to evacuate the system and re-charge it with freon and dye, this way we...

can identify the leak, should the issue come back.if the customer would like to reach out Jaime the store manager, we can offer a 10% discount, but again we will not refund the evac and recharge with dye because the customer isn't happy with our estimated costs to repair the vehicle.

My mother scheduled an oil change and upon return to collect her vehicle, after 2.5 hours the vehicle had not been worked on. No one attempted to contact her to inform her of the delay and no apology was made for the lack of service. The employee behind the counter took over ten minutes to acknowledge our presence and was dealing with 3 of 4 unsatisfied customers in the store/waiting area.

Review: I had a flat tire went into BiG O tire for 2 new tires and for an alignment. This place is a complete ripoff.

They charged me for an allignment at $69.99 and never disclosed there would be additional labor for the allignment which was $101.97 also they told me the allignment was not completed because they needed to put in sieze rods which would cost another $300 plus more labor ( have no clue what that is) I asked them to reimburse me for the allignment since it was not completed they refused and were rude about it.

They put the tires on the front which is considered illegal with AAA since they are suppose to put the new tires in the back. Also I felt because I was a woman I was discriminated against. Since I am a women I dont understand car stuff and they take advantage. They did not offer to put the tires in the back until I got on the phone with my boyfriend then they did what he asked them to do. again showing how little respect I got for my opinion.

I am very very very disappointed in this place and will take my business to discount tire for now on.Desired Settlement: I want my allignment $101.97 reimbursed to me. since this was not completed properly.

I purchased a set of 4 tires from Big O in June 2014. I had to return several times to get my tires re-inflated. After my husband had filled the tires according to the suggestion on the sidewall of the tire to 40lbs, (I have specialty tires) a worker at Big O said that the tires were way over inflated and reduced them to 25 lbs. A couple of months later I had a blow out on the highway and Big O claimed it was due to low tire pressure but refused to help fix the problem. As no other tire company sells the brand of tires I purchased I was forced to buy another tire through Big O. After picking up my car and paying for the tire that I shouldn't have had to pay for in the first place- I noticed that my tire pressure light was still on. We checked all the tire pressure as I returned home and the new tire was at 40 lbs. and the other 3 were at 25 lbs. We re-inflated as Big O clearly does not know what they are doing. Buyer Beware. This shopper will not be buying tires with this company again.

Absolutely the worst customer service and management at the Mesa, Arizona location on Power and McKellips. We purchased four brand new tires and a warranty in March of this year from a store on Greenfield and Main and had no issues. We took it to the location on Power for a rotation and balance on Halloween. They did not want to rotate and service our tires because we purchased them at another Big O, and they "weren't making any money". We finally convinced them to do it, they said we may have to pay $30 for two of the tires to be remounted because of weights, but they would do it. Hours later with no call back, I called and they said my truck was ready. We picked it up but it was parked in the shade so it was hard to see the tires. When we arrived home my husband noticed that they did not rotate the tires at all, just moved the back two to the opposite sides and the same with the front. The weights inside were still dirty and there was cupping on the back tires. My husband called and asked to speak with the manager. Jamie I.[redacted] was the absolute rudest person I've ever dealt with. He lied to my husband numerous times about watching the video of his techs changing the tires.m and called him a liar. He literally yelled so loudly I could hear through the phone. My husband then went back to the store to get the tires taken care of and Jamie began yelling at the techs for not switching the tires (I thought he watched he tape?). When asked if the tires are safe for me and my children to drive, Jamie said no but still refused to service them. He screamed at my husband and threatened to call the police if he didn't leave because it's not his problem, it is the original Big O's problem. As my husband was leaving he was cursing at him and calling him a nobody. We have contacted the corporate office and they have assured us they will take care of it, but I believe it is important that everyone is aware of the type of management employed at that location. Jamie should be fired for his conduct and I will make sure to never recommend Big O to anyone. Absolutely disgraceful to the Big O name.
