Hi,
I went to Big O tires #located at
*** * *** *** *** ** ***
on Saturday, June to get my front passenger tire checked out due to a crack on the sidewallThey said the tire was bad and I would need to replace itI told them that it should still be under warranty and that I bought it from themThey told me that they couldn't look it up and would have to contact corporate on MondayI thought it was weird that they did not have this information since I did buy the tires from themBut no big deal I keep all paperwork on work done to the car so I show themThey then say that it is out of warranty since years have passed since I purchased the tires and I would have to pay for the replacementI originally purchased the tires on March 12, Normall

I was told getting tries and an alignment would take and a half hours to hoursBy number hour we are still waiting for the tires to be in stockThen another hours for the alignment There have been other people forthe same items here for over hoursI have seen people not greeted and waiting for mins then leaving without any customer service
I came in at 2pm hopefully laying at 5:50pmI would haven't went somewhere else if I know the customer service here is this awfulI dont know how they have an A+ ratingThey looked stressed and seem to give customer service to get the work agreed uponThen to get it done rightI was reading their reviews on their websiteThey were saying it took over hoursI'm very disappointed and am kind of nervous about their competence
I will call the store manager in the morningMy wife told me to go discount tireI should have listenedThey just need more experienced helpEspecially with customer service

In July of 2014, this Big O Tires location had an ownership changeAs a result, the prior purchase records were no longer available in the storeWe did have access to the old records by calling the prior ownersAll warranties were honored for purchases prior to the ownership changeThe customers
original purchase had warrantiesOne was for manufacturing and material related issues for as long as the tire had usable tread remainingThis warranty was a prorated warranty (customer to pay for the amount of rubber used)This warranty DID NOT apply because the tire DID NOT fail as a result of it being built faulty. The 2nd warranty was for NON manufacturing or material related failures due to ROAD HAZARDSThis warranty was for a time period of yearsThe cut on the sidewall of the customers tire was inspected and found to be a result of a ROAD HAZARD (customer ran over something and cut the tire)The customer is mistaken when he stated that Cooper would have covered the tireCooper does NOT cover road hazardsThe customer had driven over 35,miles on a tire that was designed to last 40,milesAs a result there was not much tread remaining. In an attempt to satisfy the customer, we GAVE THE CUSTOMER A $credit on his invoiceThe customer was no satisfied with that so he called the prior owners (Corporate Big O)They informed him that he was OUT OF WARRANTYIn an attempt to satisfy him however, Corporate agreed to give him $of in store credit good at ANY Big O location. The customer was given a invoice credit of $when none was dueCorporate has agreed to give him a $in store credit when none is due. We have made every attempt to satisfy the customer

The fact remains that this business lied to me, plain and simpleI only want them to honor their warranties or don't offer them at all in the first placeThey made no mention of my prorated warranty after years and told me that my WARRANTY EXPIRED and I would have to pay $for a replacement tireI told them that the price was way too high (other places have the tire for a much lower price), to which the associate quickly gave me a new quote of $They then tried to sell me a set of new tiresWhy would I purchase new tires if mine are doing just fine and still UNDER WARRANTYAs for the Cooper Tire warranty (manufacturer's warranty), I spoke with Cooper and I am indeed coveredMy tires are starting to develop tiny hairline cracks as a result of weather checking, but since they are so small, I don't need to replace themThe hairline crack in this particular tire turned into a bigger crack and deemed unsafeUnder the Cooper Tire Warranty, my tires are covered for weather checking, therefore this tire was coveredWhen I spoke to this business about the warranty, one of them told me "How would we stay in business?" and told me to contact corporateWhen corporate talked with them the next business day, they already threw away my tireWhat does this tell you? Corporate tried to resolve the problem by offering $in store credit after I contacted them many times but NEVER called me back like they promised toHowever, to be fair, the fault lies with this Big O Tire (#4210) and not with corporateI would not want to deal with such a dishonest business such as this one
