I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my
complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Big O Tire and TBC Corp are not accepting responsibility for what they have causedInstead choosing to point the finger at everyone elseAfter repeated attemps to contact them to resolve this matter had failed, they finally sent a letter offering only to replace the keys that they lost and expecting me to sign a waiverBasically telling me not to discuss the sitiation with anyone
The total of what they have cost me out of pocket to date is over $4000, and does not even including the damage to my car and the stress, physical pain etcthat they put a disabled person throughAnother repair shop is currectly investigating the damages caused by Big O's negligence
We are in the process of investigating the matter and have made contact with the customer.
Review: I purchased 4 sets of tires May 13 ,2014 and the technician working on my aluminum rims gouged the left rear severely and he did not report it to management and management did not report it to the consumer I went to take for the first rotation and brought this issue to his attention and he stated the machine did this damage and that he didn't care this is the general manager stating this.
I have gone through 6 sets of tires throughout the life span of this truck 2003 silverado with the same aluminum rims and never a scratch on any of the rims.Desired Settlement: $400.00 for new rim.
In the following matter yes this customer did purchase tires from us as stated. the rim in question couldn't possibly have been damaged by our machine where its located at the machine doesn't touch the wheel as to where the customer had shown me. I would have discussed the matter further expect the customer Mr. [redacted] from the get go seemed anger which I don't blame him if its because of the wheel. but he could have handle it just a bit better and not yelling and cussing I asked him many times to please spoke with out cussing and he didn't. At that point I pretty much ended our conversation. He the proceed to enter the office and asked if I could look up his invoice since he didn't have it with him. I could find it maybe cause he made me nervous. Look we would gladly help any of our guest we don't turn our back towards anybody. But him asking $ 400.00 for a new rim when the rims them selves are really old that will not happen maybe we can come to an agreement to help fix the rim. At our cost we do have rim repair facilities that I can go to. With that said he his welcome to contact us or I can contact him. Thank you for time [redacted] store manager of BIG O TIRES in Santa Ana, Ca 92705 my number is 714-541-6811 to contact me at.
Review: I went to Big O Tires today to have my tires balanced and rotated. I had bought the tires there and this was supposed to be part of their service warranty. I was told the tires were cracked and they wouldn't do it because they were afraid they would "blow" up. I stated that they only had 23,000 miles on the tires. Warranty says they are good for 60,000 miles. He again said they wouldn't do it, the tires needed to be replaced. I told him to put the tires back on, meanwhile I called Costco tire center and the guy told me to bring them over and he would look at them. I went over there and he looked at them and told me there were no safety issues, the tires were good for another 10,000-13,000 miles. I was very angry that the owner of Big O tires tried to screw me over. I believe they just wanted me to purchase 4 new tires so they could make big bucks.Desired Settlement: They need to be set straight on not taking advantage of customers.
Mrs. [redacted] my name is [redacted] district manager for Big O Tires at our Irvine store where this guest have an issue. From what I gather they reason for the no service that day. 1st thing the tires are 6 years old or older when we put then on the car invoice# [redacted] on 11/02/2009 they are Michelin's. 2nd we do in our industry have a rule of 3-5 years that tires should be recommended to be replaced due to thy amount of years. 3rd there were visible cracking on the sidewall of tires. Now it would be hard to identify if they would last any amount of time. I'd like to help if we can but our intentions were for our guest's safety for future tire issue not to take advantage of our guest. Please you can email me back and or call me direct on my cell# [redacted]. Thanks
