July 16th 2015To whom it may concern,
This letter is in regards to a complaint filed by [redacted] to the Revdex.com on July 6th 2015 concerning damage to his 2000 [redacted]. The complaint ID # [redacted].[redacted] visited our store on Friday 6-19-2015 to...

have his tires rotated.  At 4:30 pm of that same day [redacted] picked up his vehicle.  On the following Monday 6-22-15 at approximately 10:00 am [redacted] returned to the store complaining his muffler had a hole in it.  Dave A[redacted] the store manager investigated the complaint with [redacted].  The muffler did have a large hole in the bottom side approximately six inches in diameter.  This type of hole was not caused by improperly lifting the vehicle as it was a round hole whereas a jack or a lift would leave a crease. The muffler is positioned at the very back right corner of the vehicle and it would not be possible to make contact with it while work was being performed.[redacted] did not make us aware of his damaged muffler until Monday 6-22-15 at 10:00am.  When I asked why he waited so long to contact me he stated he was too busy and this was his first chance. His muffler was so loud from the hole we had to speak loudly to hear each other.  [redacted]’s muffler was so badly damaged his vehicle sounded as if there was no muffler at all.  When [redacted] picked up his vehicle it was parked right in front of the store where anyone would have heard it. [redacted]’s car was 15’ away from the front door, considering how loud his car was he could have just open the front door to allow us to hear his car. He could have also called us as he was leaving and it would have taken no effort to share the noise of his muffler over the phone.  Instead [redacted] waited until after the weekend to contact us.  Before completely denying fault I contacted my General Manager Bill M[redacted].  Bill made contact with [redacted] and made an appointment to meet him at our store in Eagle Vail on 6-25-15. After investigating the damage Mr. M[redacted] agreed it could not have happened while working on his vehicle.  However, before Mr. M[redacted] would make a decision he recovered all video tapes for the entire time [redacted]’s vehicle was in our possession he had three other associates review the tapes.  Additional copies of the video tapes were made and sent to [redacted].
Sincerely,
Dave A[redacted], Store Manager
Bill M[redacted] General Manager
