1/7/16 Aztec Car Care Company, Inc 1549 W. Aztec Blvd Aztec, NM 87410 RE: Complaint ID [redacted] brought in his 2011 Dodge Ram in for an oil change on 10/30/15 at Big 0 Tires Quick Lube at 99,613 miles. On 12/14/15 (45 days later and 2087 miles later) Mr. [redacted] called us and said his truck...

only had 2 quarts of oil in it and it was knocking. He brought the truck to us later that day and said he had put 5 quarts of oil in it. We checked over the truck and found no leaks and the oil was in the normal operating range on the dipstick. We have no way of knowing if the truck was low on oil or not because Mr. [redacted] did not give us the opportunity to check the vehicle when it was low at his house when he first alerted us. We have consulted with professional ASE qualified mechanics on the issue and all have agreed the truck could not run 2087 miles on two quartS of oil. In fact, the oil light would have stayed on immediately after the oil change and would have not gone off and a check engine light would have come on. Mr. [redacted] admitted to me in a conversation that it could be possible that someone may have drained his oil out of his truck sometime but we have no way of knowing that. There is a service bulletin from Dodge #09-001-13 on the year / make / and model of Mr. [redacted]'s truck that states problems with knocking sounds on Hemi Motors. Mr. [redacted] has commented on [redacted] that, " Big 0 Quick Lube did not change his oil and this blew his engine". We consider this to be "untrue", and stand by the fact that we did change his oil and it did not cause his engine to have knocking problems. We have a work order with documentation showing the work completed. I believe Mr. [redacted] agrees that his truck could have not run for 2087 miles on two quarts of oil but we have no way of knowing because we were not given the opportunity to check it when it was low. Facts: 1. He drove his truck for 45 days and 2087 miles before the problem was called to our attention. No possible way the truck would run this long low on oil. 2. He never gave us the opportunity to check his truck out while it was low on oil. We are taking his word that it was low on oil. 3. Service Bulletin #09-001-13 should be investigated to see if his engine problem pertains to this issue. We are very saddened by the comments that Mr. [redacted] has posted about us on [redacted] and are sorry that he has had this problem with his truck. Aztec Car Care, Co Inc. takes any issue with it's customers very seriously and stand behind our work,100%. If there was any doubt we had caused the above issue with Mr. [redacted]'s vehicle we would replace his motor for him. Because of the above stated facts, Aztec car Care Co. Inc assumes no responsibility for this issue. Aztec Car Care Co. Eric E[redacted] Owner
