I took my truck in to have two front tires mounted and balanced. In the process one of the workers broke a hubcap and they told me that it was broke and they throw it away but not to worry because they would replace it. After going in four different times, also going to the Toyota dealership and getting invoice of how much it was. I dropped it off and I've called corporate twice and each time they were going to contact the General Manager and see what the hold up was. Both times I was told I would have a fallow up call and still nothing. Next action small claims for a cap? Really?
When *** came in to have us do the mount and balance on his truck the cap was previously damaged. It was not "fully" broken.Upon reinstallation of the cap it then became "fully" broken. I explained the issue with *** when he picked up his vehicle. He was great and said to not worry about the cap because it was previously broken. I told him that I would try to track down a used centercap from a few different places. I didn't have immediate answers from my sources. *** then started being very rude towards my employees and myself. I told him if he wanted a new cap from Toyota I would split the cost with him on it. He then took it upon himself to go out and purchase one his self at the price of $80.23. As a dealer my cost on the cap is 46.43. That would have meant we each paid 23.22. When he dropped off his receipt I accepted it and told him I would call him within 48 hrs. I called *** the next day but his voice mailbox was full. I have not heard from *** since then. I am still willing to split the 80.23 with ***. Thank you.
