Big Red Tax Service Reviews (2)

My name is *** ***, Owner of Big Red Tax Service, and this letter is in regards to the complaint (ID Number ***) to the Revdex.com received from *** *** The ***s decided to come to my office due to errors Mr***’s mother has been making on their tax
returns They came in my office in January of to file their tax return Everything went through smoothly and they received their tax refund The ***s came back into my office in January of to file their tax return and this is where the issue beganBig Red Tax Service as Tax Professionals have an automated number to call to see if client has any back-tax debt When calling the automated number, we found the ***s have delinquent tax debt from years prior to The only way to collect our fees out of a tax refund, you must be clear of all delinquent IRS debt When explaining to *** the situation, her comment to me was “***’s mother has been filing our taxes before you and she did not file the 1099s *** received from his employer This is why we decided to come to a professional to get help.” At this time, I have already completed their tax return and when I told *** they will have to pay upfront since they owe the IRS money, she said she did not have the money to pay me and the IRS At that time, she took their tax information and left Without being paid, I advised *** to get the previous taxes her mother-in-law filed and I will help them file an amendment on their prior tax returns to reduce what they owe to the IRS Roughly, at the beginning of April 2017, *** came back into my office and asked for copies of the tax return I prepared Not thinking she hasn’t paid me yet, I emailed her the work I completed and when I went to print the return is when I realized she still owed a balance with my company I did not provide her with a hard copy of the return; however, she did receive an electronic copy (without paying my company)After Tax Season, I believe it was the beginning of June or late May, *** contacted me again and wanted to meet me at the office to follow up During our appointment, she asked to have her copies back so she could file their taxes on their own because they did not have the money to pay me I explained to *** I gave her the file back the day they came into file taxes She became hostile, raised her voice and threaten me with, “Don’t Make Me Call My Husband and Have Him Come Up Here.” I told her there was no reason to threaten me, but what we can do is look through every folder in my office to see if it was here We spent over an hour looking and it was not in my office I reiterated I gave her tax documents back, however if she cannot find her documents she can go to the local IRS office in Bowling Green and receive a tax summary and tax transcripts, free of charge, to file her taxes At that time she asked me to print off every document which contained their tax information I said I would however I have to charge you $for me to print any information for you since you still had a $balance with my company She paid me $at that time and I printed out all the information I had for her and she left I had two other clients in my office when this situation took place As I began to work with another client, *** comes back into my office and asked for a receipt of payment for the $I paused with the client at my desk, got back into ***’s file and printed her a receipt and then she left I haven’t heard anything back from *** until I received the letter from the Revdex.com Rebuttal Never was I disrespectful towards *** I tried my hardest to help her and her husband with their back tax debt at no charge, and I said I would discount any amended tax returns to fix the errors her mother-in- law made I went beyond what most tax preparers would have done to assist *** I feel I did the work for her only for her to take a completed return and have whomever copy what I prepared I’m more than certain if I was a bad person as *** describes in her complaint they wouldn’t be a returning custom from previous years Also as stated before, I had other tax clients in my office when *** came back demanding her tax documents and both clients are willing to write a letter explaining their view of the situation.Never did I have a problem giving her a receipt for the money she paid She left without asking for a receipt and when she came back to ask for one, I stopped with the client at my desk to make sure she received one At this current time The ***s have a $balance with my company for preparing their tax return Please let me know if you all have any other questions or concerns as I am willing help resolve this matter in a timely manner Sincerely, *** ***###-###-####
