Ms. [redacted] did arrive at our facility to receive her vehicle once repairs were completed. She obtained her keys From [redacted], our newly appointed receptionist. Journey. Prior to Ms. [redacted] returning at a later hour to collect her vehicle I personally contacted Ms. [redacted] and made her aware that she did in fact have a deductible and that she was to come by and pay the amount prior to picking up her vehicle from our facility. She then explained to me that she had to make some type of payment arrangements because she recently had been kicked out her house for unknown reasons. She proceeded to ask me if I would discuss it with the owners of this facility if they would make an exception to the rules that we do not honor payment plans. After speaking to the owners they allowed her to make two separate payments of $250.00 to resolve the outstanding balance. I informed Ms. [redacted] that she needed to immediately pay the $250 since she had already removed the vehicle from our facility. She demanded to speak to the owners whom were not available due to personal reasons and I informed her that all communications were to go through me as I was the one who handles these types of situations. She then informed me that the vehicle was out of town and she had no way to get the vehicle to me and that she had no way to come up with the amount that we had agreed to originally. I followed up with emails from that point on explaining to Ms. [redacted] that she had 10 days to either come up with the amount owed of she would be looking at actions involving theft of services.( emails attached). We also contacted Ms. [redacted]'s insurance and they informed us that it is their policy to explain a deductible for any repairs completed on her vehicle at time of policy acceptance and also at the time that she filed the claim to make repairs on her vehicle. Ms. [redacted] is going through some rough times and we understand things happen but she is upset with us because she does not have the financial means to cover the repairs she agreed to and also signed agreeing to paying the full amount prior to retrieval of her vehicle. The owners and I have decided against filing charges against the consumer as we feel it will only make her current situation worse than it already is. We also feel there was no need in filing a complaint for retrieving her vehicle without paying the bill that she was made well aware of several times by myself and also her insurance company.
