I do not have a copy of a contract. The contract we first signed which falsely stated the car as a 2003 was voided because of the false statement and they refused to give us the copy of that contract when we went to complain and request it the day after we put down the payment of $2000. After all the incidents we went through with the business we decided to come together to discuss and renegotiate a new contract which we never ended up signing. Though I do not have copies of these contracts I do have reciepts and other documents that may be helpful. Also the vehicle was not voluntarily repossed. The vehicle was never in my possesion after I went to talk to them about the false stating contract and renegotiating it which was 2 days after I put the down payment and got the keys to the vehicle that I was told to be a 2003 Montero Sport.
When we were on way to talk about the new contract that needed to be made the steering wheel on the Montero started getting hard to turn. Because of this, part of the new contract was for them to fix the problem with the steering wheel which had something to do with a belt apparently. They told us it would be done at the end of the day. Then it turned into the end of the week. And when we called they would respond by telling us they would check on its progess and call us back with an update which we never got. And then all together our phone calls were ignored and never returned.
My boyfriend who is co-buyer of the vehicle eventully went up there to try and talk to someone. He informed me that they stated that they are just going to claim repossesion. He eventually called the police and of course they couldn't do much but advise us to go to court.
