Customer was charged $for the backhoe equipment and labor for two plumbers for a dayWe didn't realize the severity of the root from the tree until the line was being excavated and the roots exposedAs far as the city is concerned there is no reason to get them involved on your sewer line that needed to be replacedIf the city tap was collapsed on the city line then we would get them involved

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint My complaint is validThere were NO gas leaks repaired in any existing gas pipingThe only gas piping that had to be replaced was that which was installed by Big State.I have pictures of the faulty connections and the rework that had to occurI also have a licensed plumber and my general contractor that can attest to the sub-par work performed by Big StateIn addition, my general contractor can testify about a conversation she had with the plumber, Eric Ortiz in which he acknowledge that there were leaks in the gas piping that he installed. It is true that I signed a document that said I was completely satisfied, and I was at the time the document was signedHowever, the issues did not surface until the gas piping would not pass the city inspection because it would not hold pressure. It is a blessing that the city red tagged the project, because the gas leaks were a danger to my family had they not been caught could have caused serious injury or death.I am prepared to litigate if resolution cannot be reached through this medium Regards, [redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint
First, as we mentioned in our previous email, Big State Plumbing failed to diagnose our problem correctly and provided an inaccurate estimateIt wasn't until after they started work, that they mentioned that it would be an extra $on top of the original estimate to complete the work! We should not be penalized because of a lack of due diligence on their endFurthermore, Big State Plumbing cashed our initial down payment ($2400) even though they did not do the job which further demonstrates a lack of business ethicsThere was no transparency and absolutely no urgency to rectify the situation on their side when we called to ask for our money backNumerous calls were made to BSP to talk to a manager/supervisor but all our attempts were in vain as BSP were non-responsiveNo formal bill with line item of charges was ever presented to us and after a month of phone calls we were just refunded half of our deposit $as Big State Plumbing would never explicitly disclose the amount taken for a 'service fee' over the phoneWe believe that this was egregious and a deceptive business practice and will seek legal action if this is not resolved

I have contacted MrD*** in the past and he has not been able to resolve my complaintsI am attaching a picture of one of the leaks found by the plumber that had to fix the work Big State did not do correctly. There were multiple leaks like this.MrD*** is a liar and a con artist Similiar claims and even lawsuits have been filed for past businesses he has been involved with

*** *** wanted her sewer line replaced in backyard, her Mrs***'s husband's went out of town that weekend and Shane showed up with the backhoe to dig up the line, Shane only got about eight feet out when he discovered the sewer line went directly under the
tree and the ***'s didn't want Shane to reroute line so Shane covered ditch up and left We reimbursed Mrs*** $due to the fact of the equipment used, the hours spent, labor and other factors We feel that was a fair price seeing that Mrs *** and her husband are the ones who chose not to continue the job the we had already started

My [redacted]'s complaint isn't valid. We went into contract with [redacted] to do plumbing work and he requested that we NOT pull permits for the job as he was trying to hide his renovation work from the city. He later got busted from the city and had to pull permits. Big State pulled all required permits...

and has signed work order stating the Mr [redacted] is completely satisfied. The gas test that he claims that had leaks is false. The leaks that were in the home were in the EXISTING gas lines not the added lines that Big State Installed. Big State had video of the entire job we did and video of the gas test holding. The corrugated pipe we installed is approved by local and national plumbing codes and is what the customer preferred after discussing hard pipe vs corrugated pipe and the benefits. No reimbursements will be issues to the customer.

Customer was charged $1200 for the backhoe equipment and labor for two plumbers for a day. We didn't realize the severity of the root from the tree until the line was being excavated and the roots exposed. As far as the city is concerned there is no reason to get them involved on your sewer line that needed to be replaced. If the city tap was collapsed on the city line then we would get them involved.

There is nothing true in this statement. Not only are there no lawsuits against Big State Plumbing or myself, Morgan D[redacted], nor have there ever been, but falsely claiming that is defamation of character, so we would ask that you refrain from further falsehoods. I have only ever worked for ONE plumbing company, the one which I currently own, so I can't imagine what "previous companies" you are referring to.As to the issue of the leak: After we installed gas lines and performed a gas test, it passed. We have video evidence of this. We finalized our initial job on March 27, 2015. Our technician capped the gas lines when he left and turned gas on, as per your request. Nearly two months after that, the inspector found that you were having work done by sub-contractors without permits and the City requested to meet with us at the job site to discuss what was done. Our General Manager met the inspector at your home to go over the work scope that was done, at which time the gas was on. The Inspector noticed brand new gas lanterns that our company had not installed and were lit. At that time, due to the fact that there were gas lanterns installed by your sub-contractor without permits, the Inspector required you to have permits pulled and a new gas test. You asked us to come back out to your house, at which point we noticed that you had some leaks on the gas lantern that our company had not installed. We retested our lines, which had no leaks. When we retested the entire system, the lamps installed by another company were leaking, which we made you aware of. But those were lines we had never touched, and lines that were not leaking prior to the unauthorized work you had done. We gave you a price for a leak search, and you declined for us to do that work.To reiterate, there was a TWO MONTH time span between our leaving and your calling us back out there that your gas was running without leaks until you had other work done by other sub-contractors. If you have further complaints, we are happy to settle them in court because we are confident the evidence is on our side.

We apologized for the unpleasant experience and service from our company. At the time you called us, the issue had been resolved and all you had requested was a refund because you didn't feel you had to pay for the service that was provided. I understand that he went ahead and took care of the issue...

instead of waiting for your approval, however, the service call was completed. Per our telephone conversations, you have always stated that there was a leak and had been fixed and no longer leaking when he left. Thank you for taking the time to post your review. We appreciate your honest feedback and will address such circumstances during further training. BSP
