Big Woody's Tree Service

My wife and I thought we might get away with trimming back the huge back yard sweet gum next to and looming over our tiny home. After all it 'looked' healthy enough to this untrained eye. So we sought and received several quotes from area tree "experts" that would have done only that. Then we called Woody's.

Their estimator [redacted] said, "Sure, I'll give you an estimate for the trimming. And I'll give you another estimate to come back next year to take it down because it's dying and it is going to come down one way or the other!."

So long story short, the Woody team showed up as scheduled and took down two trees, hauled EVERYTHING away, ground all stumps and roots 10 inched down and left the yard clean...in one 8 hour day.

And what about supposed poor condition of the tree?... After downing, we could see the severely rotted interior... the huge tree was truly compromised.

So thanks [redacted]. Thanks for being the expert and telling us what we "needed" to hear not what we "wanted" to hear.

And thanks Woody's. You've got a great crew and some awesome equipment. While I hope I never need to bear the expense again, you'll be the first tree service company that we'll call.

Absolutely first class business. Just had 5 trees removed and couldn't ask for any improvement or find any fault.The right men & equipment for the job! I got only two of the guys names,[redacted] & [redacted] They even got the O.K. to remove our neighbors triple tree without charge,she is having some medical issues & is on fixed income ! Fantastic company.

I called this company in regards to having a stump removed from my yard. When I came into contact with one of their associates I was asked few questions on the stump itself and more on why I never had it removed prior to calling them. After a few smart comments made by one of their associates I was told they would be by my house in a few days due to only having one person who is assigned to grinding stumps. Unfortunately, now a few days have past and we are rolling into the third week since I called the company originally. I called the same associate last week to check on the status of when they felt they could make it out and I got the same response as before "a few days". I would also like to mention that the associate was pretty rude on both occasions on the phone and never bothered to follow up on delays they are experiencing. I would not recommend this company to anyone only based on my experience with this individual.
