Bigelow Rentals

I have been renting from Bigelow Rentals for a little over a year. After about 3 months living in our apartment, we noticed large amounts of ants around everything, eating our cats food, and even crawling in our bed. We contacted Bigelow Rentals and they had a maintenance man come over to spray which didn't take care of the ants, eventually had an exterminator come in, also did not take care of the ants, had the maintenance man come again, no 24 hour notice, to spray, while I had the cat in the house, which the pesticides could be harmful to the cat. He told me to just lock my cat in the bathroom. Near the end of our stay we were falsely accused of having 5 people living in our 1 bedroom apartment, with a dog as well. They left a note on the door at 5 am, 3 hours before they were to do the inspection, at 8 am, again no 24 hour notice. About one month later a fire mysteriously started in our garage, which the fire department could not determine what started it, as we were not even out there at the time. 5 days after the fire we got a 60 day notice of non-intent to renew our lease, which our lease was up about a week prior to the fire happening. I called management to ask why we were getting kicked out, and she said there was no reason, we just were. Then, they claim our last months rent was never received. I send my rent out on the third, as I do every month, and never have any problems, I put it directly into the post office box before 2:30 on the third, the man was to come get the mail at 2:30 that day, it should have been received on the 4th, as the office is only 1 mile away, with the rent check, I also sent out a letter to my aunt in Louisiana, which she received the 6th. I have no intentions to believe that they actually did not receive the check, I have NEVER EVER been late on my rent. I have received nothing but disrespect and horrible management since I have lived here. Bad news travels faster than good news and I have nothing but bad news for this business! I will NEVER recommend Bigelow Rentals to anybody.

horrible to live, mold in the basements, not to mention the wasp and bee issue, non repaired semi- working buzzer and door doesnt always close tight behind you. door jams and moulding around door isnt tight against door frame so light (and air/heat) can escape which causes higher electricity bills. 2/3'ds of the parking lot is repaved while my side of the lot isnt, they just filled in the cracks with tar as well as no carport that I once had, yet the other buildings have carports. no airflow in the basement which causes a musty smell. and 3 weeks ago I asked them to fix the rip/tear in my screen on the patio and it still isnt fixed
