Biggar & District Credit Union (Perdue) Reviews (3)

Ms***:I am in receipt of your letter concerning the *** residence at *** *** ** *** *** ***.There appears to be some confusion after I spoke with *** and I will attempt to clarify the facts.*** did show the *** cooktop to the homeowner at the initial meetingThe
*** cooktop is not a discontinued model and is available for order from *** nor did *** say it was discontinuedJust not available for three weeks. When the order was placed by our ***er the builder, the unit was ordered from ***airWhile it was and is a good model there was an availability problem with the unit and it was not available for shipment for three weeksWe checked for any availability from one of our other locations and the *** representative researched it but the three weeks lead time was the best availability date we were able to get.The builder told *** that they could not wait and to let him know of any alternatives that could be obtained more quicklyThat is how the ** cooktop was brought into the conversationAgain that was with the builder who was controlling the process. Our communication was with the builder who told us he verified and confirmed with the homeowner and made the decision to go with the unit we did supplyThis was a result of our simply trying to help by offering options as requestedThe builder made the decision to not wait for the *** cooktop.*** has spoken with the builder and he said he would have the homeowner call to discussWe have not yet heard from the homeowner. Please know that we never did or will do anything but try to help our ***ersWe deal with builders and job issues on a regular basis and as in this case when obstacle arises will offer alternatives and work to make the job come to a completion to the builder's satisfaction.I am certainly open to discuss this with the homeowner should she wish to call. Please know that we delivered product that was ordered by the builder and not something we simply decided to ship

I am responding to the recent inquiry concerning the *** Residence communication ID ***.The correspondence copies we received are for one communication from one of our sales ladies to the builder, *** ***It appears this was a communication between the homeowner and the builder on December 3, and not with anyone hereIn the communication copied, our sales lady, ***, was forwarding to him a copy of the product details for the cooktop that the ***er was interested in purchasingWe are all in agreement on this point however at the time of this communication there had been no formal quote generated or order placed.Subsequently, two months later, there was an order placed by the builder for the cooktop shown on the the attached and there was also a microwave addedThe builder then asked us to order them which we did(see copies of text communication) While the cooktop is a current model which we order regularly from ***Air, there was an availability issue from *** at the time the order was placed. We researched the possible availability from one of our other locations and the *** representative did a search alsoThe unit was not readily available for three weeks or moreIt was not a discontinued model but as is common with manufacturers they were simply out of stock for a few weeks. After our communication was with the builder who told us he could not wait the three weeks and had communicated with the homeownerThe decision from the builder was to seek an alternative product which we didThe builder made the decision to not wait for the *** cooktop not Factory Builder Stores. Please know that we constantly do everything we can to help our builder ***ers when this sort of issue occurs and working with the builder we offer alternatives when waiting is not an option for a particular job. I am attaching again for reference the chain of e-mail communications *** had with the builder who made the decision to go with the product that he picked up at our warehouseThe attached are in sequence of 1, 2, and with multiple pages on each.Again, we shipped the product the builder ordered and paid forI trust this clarifies better the details of the processShould you wish to call I would be happy to discuss it

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because I am in the process of working on an applicable agreement with
Factory Builders at this time and will let you know if it works out.
Regards,
