Review: Bigger View Construction installed two 10' sliding Fleetwood doors in my house in August 2014 (very expensive doors). Unfortunately, these doors were installed incorrectly from the beginning. The installation violated several of Fleetwood installation requirements, as well as industry standard installation procedures, here are a few of the problems: sill pan was not sealed, no weather barrier installed to 2 wood corner posts, no weather barrier installed to the mating stucco wall, the doors were out of level, the custom flashing was removed, all sill shims were floating, the list continues. After installing the doors, BVC eventually sent a worker to apply a bead of caulk, with no other consideration being given to sealing the doors and preventing moisture ingression. At this time I could no longer standby and see a complete failure to perform an adequate installation per the contract and I was forced to terminate the contract. This was a very expensive move on my part, but absolutely necessary to ensure I had these doors installed correctly and that they never leaked. I subsequently had the doors removed and reinstalled by another more skilled contractor. I would not hire nor recommend BVC for a job.
