Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:I reject the response from Bigler & Son!Here are the facts:They over sold their abilities at remodelingTheir work both on painting the entire home and tiling the bathroom floors was not even close to a professional jobThey are certainly not worth the money they are chargingThey accepted a four week remodeling jobThe start date was pushed out by two weeksThis in no way should have made them rush the job? What they did not do was tell us that they were moving to Austin, Texas two weeks after they started the jobThey waited until the fourth day to inform us that they only had two weeks and that they were moving? I never would have hired a contracted that was leaving the state because there is no guarantee on their work? They explicitly told us up front that their work was guaranteedThey bid the painting of the entire inside of the house? After they painted we looked at it and they never patched any nail holes or other imperfections in the walls? Then said that they did not bid any repairs? Who would pay to have their entire home repainted and not expect the nail holes and imperfections to be repaired? That is insaneThey tried to convince us that it was to not repair holes? They now somehow think that we owe them more money? Their work was terrible at best? I should be getting most of my money back due to the poor workmanship, no guarantee on their work and taking remodeling job without disclosing that they were leaving in two weeks and we would be left with a half done home that I have to now fix most of what they did already? These are two very shady characters? They saw an opportunity to get a lot of money out of us up front to pay for their moving expenses.? I calculate that they owe us at least $6,back due to all of the extra cost that we have incurred getting new contractors and correcting their horrible paint jobWe will have to have another painting contractor come in and repaint? Its that bad? No one should hire Bigler and Son for any job? They should not even be in the business

We have made our response to these issues Bigler and Son has maintained close to a top (5.0) rating among our clients Bigler and Son work hard to keep this rating Every attempt to satisfy Mrand Mrs [redacted] was madeWe offered to stay past the deadline to finish the project but they did not want thatWe also asked for specifics so we could rectify any issues, they did not want that They have no grounds to their complaints because the project was terminated by them before its completion Not sure why the tile job keeps coming up since they were not charged anything for it They were never charged for any incomplete work

To start with Bigler & Son maintains a star rating and we do everything we can to please our clients and maintain this rating
All contractors have a method when approaching a project and we had this project planned as a four week project. We were guaranteed by the client that the
house would be empty and that we would have free movement to expedite work and a garage to set up equipmentFirst issue, a four week project was cut short by two weeks by Mr***, who moved back the original start date which in turn put pressure on us to complete the week project within two weeks. Mr** *** was informed that the end date could not be adjusted and agreed he would do some of the final finishing work himselfWe agreed to work through each weekend to crunch timeTo make things more difficult within a few days Mr*** started moving in his furniture and personal belongings. We were now pressured to get all the flooring and painting finished within a few days under difficult maneuverabilityWith a now full garage, we had no garage to set up equipmentHe also constantly requested us to go pick up materials which consumed extra days of our work time. When our end date approached, Mr*** put up such a fuss, we offered to stay on an extra week to complete it. He refused
Per tile job: This was not part of the original bid and was added by Mr*** as a verbal arrangement. We have photos to prove the job was well done, floor leveling was unnecessary, but at Mr***’s request we complied. THIS TILE JOB WAS DONE FOR FREE to keep a constantly complaining client happy!!
Per wall repair: We charge $per patch which is the rate. Mrs*** did not want to pay this fee. We did throw in wall patch where there was an obvious need FOR FREE to keep the client happy
After the above work was completed both Mr& Mrs*** praised it as a job well done and were quite pleased. At this point, Mr*** told us they were $over their intended budget, yet accepted an original bid for $16,of work. It is interesting to note they are asking for an $refund!
