We have refunded the $as requested We apologized for any and all miscommunication and inconvenience we have caused [redacted] and his family Our technician was certainly trying to resolve the issue with his heater The issue was as stated coming from of relays, and the issue would only take place when the doors to the unit were on When the technician removed the doors and tested the heater, the heating relays would not fail for the technician to see exactly which one was failing Therefore the decision was made to order both relays to ensure you would be taken care of, without going back and forth The technician did not call Tappan tech support due to the fact there was not a way for them to help with the situation because of the way the unit was failing with the doors on, and the fact that Tappan tech support is not open at 9:pm to provide support Anytime we are handling warranty repair on equipment that was not installed by Berkeys, we do charge a Labor fee The technician should not have charged you for two Labor fees This is when our manager reduced the repair to $ At this time, you had discussed the fact that Tappan had said they would pay the Labor for the repair Again, we are sorry for the miscommunication here, our intent was to verify exactly what Tappan would pay to us and we would handle the repair for you

We are working diligently to resolve this. Our handyman has tried to make contact with this customer and has not received a call back. We will continue our efforts in contacting Ms***

Our HVAC manager, *** ***, reached out to this customer on 12/18/and offered to send another technician to the home and the customer accepted the offer. On completion of the visit, *** reached out again to make sure the customer was satisfied with the work and he was. The
customer told *** he would remove the complaint. Very sorry for the delay in the response as we thought this had been resolved. We do not desire to litigate.  After learning of the issue, we immediately corrected the error.  We were attempting to resolve this directly with Mr. [redacted], but ultimately, he began having work done by others without our involvement whatsoever and turned the issue over to his...

homeowner's insurance.   We subsequently turned this over to our insurance company, who has been working with All-State.  As of yesterday, October 4, 2017, our insurance company stated that they have not reached a final agreement on settlement.  Once the insurance companies reach an agreed upon settlement, the agreed upon amounts will be reimbursed.  As a note, according to our insurance company, All-State's subrogation  documentation makes no mention of taking a $3,000 deductible form their payments, so this is currently being reviewed by the insurance providers.

Berkeys technician is scheduled to meet with this homeowner on March 25, 2017 to resolve this issue.
