BikeLab Reviews (%countItem)

This is the worst "company" I've ever had the displeasure of experiencing. I seriously regret not reading the yelp reviews prior to doing business with ***. He came to our house and sold us a pretty junky bike...but there are no bikes available mid pandemic and my daughter really needed to get out and get some exercise. He promised to replace the tires...which were cracked and old and charged me for new tires and an install. He also took my bike and my son's bike to do a tune up...even though he is a mobile bike lab...apparently he could not do the work on site. He promised to have the bikes back and the tires installed on my daughter's bike withing 48 hours .. we did not see him again for almost 2 weeks...so I started reading the reviews and seeing how upset everyone was. Some people claiming he never returned their bikes so I was getting anxious. After hundreds of texts with him claiming to have had a heart attack and having myriad health issues (he is a young guy!) he eventually showed up with our bikes...not really any improvement and no new tires for my daughter...so he charged us $620 and all we got was a very old rusted bike...since then I have been in constant contact with him promising to return and install the tires but flaking each and every time. The only time you can get his attention is if you threaten him with a negative review...in which case he gets in a panic...I could go on and on...just beware...he is not a good person with whom to do business, IMO.

BikeLab picked up my bike from my home to take to their shop to repair and return it. The have not returned my bike after many texts and false promise
BikeLab(*** owner) picked up my bike from my home on 3/28/20 to tune up my bike and replace the bike chain. Additionally we went down to my garage to determine how to securely lock my bike and he recommended and ordered a Kryptone anchor mount and a bike chain with lock + $65 service to install which I paid via *** Initially he said there would be a delay with the lock orders. I preferred that he delivered the bike when the lock orders came in because I did not want to store it again on my balcony to rust again. It has not been a month. He was not returning my texts and voicemails for days. I let him know that I would make a police report and sue him if he did not return my bike. Then a series of false promises to return my bike all with sorts of excuses of why he could not deliver it. I read all the similar complaints to mine on Yelp and realized this clearly was not a reputable business and they were stringing me along. Every promise they make is never delivered upon.

All I want at this point is for my Trek Verve 3 bike to be returned to me even if it is not repaired. I want the $287.39 returned for locking mechanism + service which were never delivered/or fulfilled. I have never been involved with such a dishonest, unreputable business in my life.

Desired Outcome

I want my biked delivered now whether or not is has been repaired. Additionally I want the $287.39 pay via *** refunded for the lock, chain and service to install same.

I paid BikeLab $481.53 in advance to repair 3 bicycles. The company has kept my money and my bicycles.
BikeLab is a mobile bicycle repair company. On January 14, BikeLab removed 3 bicycles from my home for repair: a Cannondale SuperSix road bike, a Cannondale F29 mountain bike and a Redline BMX bike. I paid $481.53 in advance to have the bikes repaired and returned to me within 48 hours. It has now been 10 days. BikeLab has promised repeatedly to provide me with a delivery window and then never follows up in doing so. Concerned, I went on Yelp and see other several other customers with similar complaints, and in some cases customers have still not received their bikes back after 4 months or more. It appears that BikeLab is a scam business.

Desired Outcome

I just want my bikes back. They are very expensive. I don't even care if the work is completed at this point.

This issue has been resolved.

I'm not that guy that goes out of his way to put others down or give poor ratings. Much the contrary, i'm the guy that goes out of his way to give good reviews and give credit where credit is due.

*** and his bike company came and picked up my bikes on July 3rd 2019 from my place. I was under the understanding that it would take a few days or so and my bikes would be fixed and returned. I got a call and we went over the charges and came to an understanding that it would cost a little over 300 bucks to fix both of my bikes. Which he knocked down from 500. He claimed that he was working with my budget etc and that my bikes were old and the parts were tough to come by. I understood that. So we agreed on a price and I paid them via PayPal with the understanding it would be a few weeks.

A few weeks went by and I didn't hear back from them. I followed up and they said they had a certain part that was taking longer than expected to get. Okay i'll be patient. I understand that happens.

A full month goes by and I don't get an update. I follow up with them. No response for days. I hear back they have one bike done and the other is not finished. So I say okay. I ask when it will be done they promise it will be done and delivered within a week or so and they will notify me of a delivery time.

Let's skip forward a bit. It's going on 4 months!!!! I haven't had my bikes for the whole summer. They've promised at the very least 10 times to drop my bikes off.....AND EVERY TIME i'm the one that messages them. Not once! Not once! Have they called me to update me like a respectable business. They called in the beginning to explain why I was paying so much but not once have they called me first without me calling to ask where my bikes are.

NOW I HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO CALL THE COPS! I have no other choice! These guys stole my money and my bikes.

PLEASE STEER CLEAR OF THIS BUSINESS!! THIS HAS BEEN BY FAR THE WORST SERVICE EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!!

I have full proof of all of this via text message.

To whom it may concern; So there was a big miscommunication with this customer *** about some parts that were backordered by a couple months so that delayed the job significantly. So at the time of writing this message the customers bikes have been 100% completed and returned back to his home and the bikes are now currently back in his possession. We have also been in contact with the customer ***, and he acknowledges that this issue has been 100% resolved and everything is taken care of and he is very satisfied and happy to have his bikes back.

If you have any questions please call *** at*** thanks so much for your time.
