Review: Before purchasing the electric scooter for $502.55 I spoke with [redacted] (who was quite helpful) from Bikemaina explaining I'm 62 with a bad back looking to make it easier to walk my dog. I ordered it, paid with VISA and received it 6/8/15. While assembling it per the instructions I plugged in the supplied fuse causing a spark. I looked beyond the fuse holder to see the battery plug was broken and shorted out against the frame. In an effort to "make do" I wrapped tape around it to allow me to proceed. I charged it up, but it won't even ** up the slight ibcline of my driveway. I also noticed the sides were welded on about 3/8 in out of parallel causing the battery cover not to close and lay on the fuse plug. The chain is also misaligned due to poor workmanship. I tried phone contact but the recording sudgests using email for better customer response. I started contacting them 6/17 5-8 times by email and phone attempts with no response. Finally I emailed them I'm making a Revdex.com complaint, they responded with a "we're looking into it" no word since then. I've sent 2 or more email since then as a follow up. Visa informed me I need to get a Bike shop to verify the problem before they will help me. I **t an quote of $382.26 from the shipping company they used, that in effective for me unless they can take it back with a contract with them they must have. I have no use for it if it can't ** up my driveway. I emailed them pictures of the areas that are welded wrong and my driveway showing the slope. They just ignore all contacts. The girl from VISA tried to call them while I was on the line, she couldn't get through. To keep current with VISA I paid the bill for something I can't use. They are a scam!!

Please help if you can or make sure others know they have no support.Desired Settlement: Have Bikemania credit me in full for the bike at $502.55 and the helmet for $8.99 and pay for shipping it back to them.

I am very sorry to hear that you were having issues with a product that you purchased from us. I am also sorry that you had issues initially making contact with our customer service department. Unfortunately it is one of our busy seasons and contact times may be slower than we would like as we do handle thousands of customers and we are trying to be fair to all of them. Please note that responding to all can take a lot of time. Occurrences with this product are rare but because of the nature of the item, there is always a chance that something could be a miss.I did see that it does look like contact was made and that at the last we have, we had put you in contact with the manufacturer for trouble shooting, as this is their preferred method since they have the best troubleshooting knowledge for this item, and after speaking with you, the manufacturer had made a determination and had told you that we were **ing to send you a new unit.Because you are now requesting a refund instead, I will work out the logistics that may be necessary to pick up the old unit and refund the purchase price, plus the shipping for the helmet, when the old unit arrives back to us.Please allow me a little time to work out the details as we are now heading into a holiday weekend and coordination of efforts may be required.I hope you find this to be a satisfactory conclusion. Please also note that all issues reported to us are reviewed to make our site better for future customers and we thank you for this feedback.

Desired Settlement: Refund Have Bikemania credit me in full for the bike at $502.55 and the helmet for $8.99 and pay for shipping it back to them.I offered you what you asked for so why did you reject it?My offer came after your last contact with **-[redacted] so I don't understand. You may wish to re-read my last response. So I need to ask you these questions:1) Did you receive the shipping label?2) if you did receive the shipping label, is the item on its way back?

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because:1) Since the beginning, a month a** 6/17/15, I have asked to return the defective bike for a full refund.

2) I was reluctantly redirected by your company to deal with [redacted], they wanted to replace it but I was still waiting to hear from you about returning it.3) I will gladly accept your offer to return it with a full refund and shipping charges paid by you.I have not received the shipping labels, when did you send them?

Business

Response:

Dear [redacted],Please check your account to see that you were refunded. The labels were sent again. If you do not receive the labels by 8-31-15, then please discard the item or donate to charity.Thank you,[redacted]

Review: Around June 24, I received delivery of a [redacted] I started to assemble it the next day and found I could not attach the pedals. I also found I could not adequately tighten down the handle bars. The "steering" also could not be tightened down so that it wobbles in an unsafe manner. I immediately attempted to contact this company via their "live chat" option on the website but was not able to get through even during normal business hours. I sent them an e-mail. They suggested I contact their distributor - [redacted]. After a few days, [redacted] offered to send me a new set of pedals, which arrived a few days later.

After installing the pedals, I found that I could not tighten the handle bars down tight enough to keep them from slipping dangerously. The bolt actually broke. I do not think this is the kind of quality product this company touts on their website. The trike I got is not safe for my child to ride.Desired Settlement: Refund

I did receive your email today as well.

Review: I purchased an adult tricycle and an electric hub motor to make the trike motorized....the total cost of both items were over $1600.....the trike was ok but when the hub motor kit came it had missing as well as defective parts...here are the issues(cost of hub motor kit over $700)1 wheel offcenter with lose spokes2 battery pack wireing disconnected(i connected them)3 battery charger doesnt work4 missing brake levers and battery rack5 missing dvd of instructions6 controller looked used glue all over exterior as I mentioned I re connected the battery pack wires and took the wheel to the bike shop to be straightened and tightened(at a cost of $40)when I called and emailed them they took forever to respond and said I voided the warrenty by re connecting the battery...the wont send me a new charger or pay back the $0 I paid fixing the wheel..the trike is not usable because of these problems and they are not responding to my calls and emailsDesired Settlement: replace battery charger send missing parts and money I spent for repairs

Response:

Mr. [redacted] re-wired the equipment he purchased and voided the warranty. He did not contact us until he had done his re-wiring.We had also sent him an instructional video on assembly.Had he reached out to us when he first had an issue rather than tinkering with it himself, we would have been able to help him further but since he took it upon himself to rewire it, it voided the warranty.Unfortunately there is nothing we can do for him at this time.

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because:the rewiring I did was to re connect the battery cable that fell off..this company is using this as an excuse not to stand behind their product ...the order was also incomplete...I didnt get the battery rack..the brake cables...and a working battery charger....I spent over $700 on this hub motor kit and I cant even use it...spokes in the wheel assemply required me to have it redone at a bike shop at my expense....this company shows a complete disregard for quality control and dont understand the products they sell....some of the electronic parts also appeared used...am planning a trip to nj the first of this year and may have to visit them personally to resolve this situation

Response:

When you receive something that you feel doesn't work or that you feel is broken or doesn't meet your expectations for quality, our web site says to contact us immediately. We then would have addressed those issues at that time. You made mention in your email, again after you did your fixing, that the items in the motor kit were of poor quality but instead of contacting us, you took it upon yourself to try to fix things that you thought were not of quality. If it was of poor quality, why would you try to use it or re-wire it? Did you think that would improve the quality? If it was not a quality product, I would have thought that you would have called to return it but instead you used it and changed it.You also had an option of letting a qualified bicycle shop install the motor kit for you. As a side note, spokes are adjusted at the factory in a standard fashion. They cant be adjusted until the bicycle is assembled. It is a normal procedure to have your wheels "trued" before using the first time. This is the responsibility of the customer. Bicycle shops will typically at the same time of installation, "true a wheel" by tightening and loosening the spokes free of charge. Truing a wheel helps to line up the wheel in the fork which keeps the wheel from pressing on the brake pads and it also straightens the wheel.Had you not done your own self repairs, and not used the item, we could have had the item inspected and we could have taken it back but at this time I am sorry but we cannot.

Response:

I am rejecting this response because:im still missing parts and have a non working charger..your response further reinforces the fact that you have no idea what your selling ....send me a new charger...brake levers...and bike rack.....I spent over 1600 dollars on this trike and motor...you people shouldnt be selling products that youre too stupid to understand

Business

Response:

What you see in the photo that you think is a bike rack, is a tool cabinet that you did not purchase. You made a different selection in your drop down. You chose the rear basket. The charger that you say doesn't work / sometimes works is no longer under warranty due to your re-wiring.I also checked into the missing brake levers for you and found out that they weren't shipped due to the fact that the bike you ordered has a rear coaster brake for which a lever is not used and as for the front, it has a parking/locking pin which the hub kit lever does not. The parking pin is more important that the electric cut off switch on the lever. None the less, you wont be able to use the levers but I have asked the shipping department to send them. I was given a tracking number for them of [redacted]. This is expected to ship on Monday or Tuesday.I am sorry but we cannot agree on all terms for reasons as stated previously but we can look into a price for a new charger for you if you would like.

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because:hooking up a poorly wired battery pack wire has nothing to do with the charger and does not mean I rewired anything....you should change your pictures and list the exact things that come with the package..I should get the pictured items and a working charger no matter what bike I order..I was going to use the rack and brake levers on another bike...I havent started my internet campaign against you yet as I hope you will resolve my complaints...once again you dont know what youre talking about

Business

Response:

Dear Sir,You already admitted to doing your own rewiring and that voided your warranty. Since you didn't contact us and took it upon yourself to re-wire the product we will have no way of knowing if you shorted out the charger or what you have done. The product lost its warranty because you rewired the product. Rewiring a product is a misuse of the product. We asked you in our previous response why you would rewire instead of just calling us and returning it since it was not up to your standards. We are sending you the missing brake levers.I tried to explain to you in the previous response, there is no rack. It was an option that you did not select in the product selections. Optional components are displayed in photos so that you can see them. You misinterpreted what the item in the photo was and you assumed that it came with the bike.We have also noted the threat you made in this official Revdex.com document and other correspondence you have sent previously and we have passed it on to the proper department for review and to use as needed for a later date if need be.At this time our original offer to sell you a new charger will stand as our final offer.Either way, we wish you well.

Review: I received a gokart prior to christmas for a present for my son. When I opened the box there was damage to product. I put together and tried using but when giving gas it wouldnt move. I called multiple times with no treturn calls. I emailed multiple times to customer service and they said someone will contact me but no one has.Desired Settlement: I would either like a replacement or refund
