We visited this customer on 3/16/to service an ** washer/dryer combo Customer complaint was that "pump was noisy-water doesn't shut off at end of cycle-clothes still wet" Our standard process for service calls is; Cost of Service Call, Plus Parts, Plus Labor Our service
technician determined the unit to have a faulty pump, and the part was replaced with authentic, ** replacement parts, not the generic version offered on the internet at a discounted cost Upon completion of part replacement, the unit was tested and operation checked ok, per our technician Customer contacted us and advised the unit was still not shutting off at end of cycle, the pump was working fine We returned on 3/to diagnose the machine in regards to the failure to shut off, our technician needed to contact ** tech support After speaking with tech support, it was determined that the cause of the issue was the control board A new ** electronic control board was ordered and installed on 04/08/ The customer contacted us to advise this did not remedy the problem It was agreed that the control board would be removed and there would be no additional charge for parts and labor regarding this part, the new part was removed The customer is requesting refund of our original service call, plus the labor charged to replace the pump, which by their own admission was working fine We attempted to remedy the situation in good faith and the customer was not charged for anything that we were unable to repair
