Received call from *** Barth of Bill Barth Ford, providing business response to complaint.Mr Barth says that Ms *** brought the vehicle in on 8/29/16, and it was diagnosed that same day as having a bad engine -- says it appeared it was run without oil in it, and it locked upHe says Ms ***
was called with a quote, but she expressed that she didn't feel it was worth the cost of engine replacement, despite being a vehicle with under 100K miles on itMr Barth says the dealership felt bad about the news it had to give Ms ***, and reduced its $diagnostic charge to $Ms *** indicated she'd come pick up the vehicle within a week or so.Mr Barth says that when the dealer didn't see or hear from Ms *** within a week or so, it began calling her repeatedly to see when she intended to pick up the vehicle -- both from dealership phone numbers, and from the cell phones of dealership staffHe indicates he also mailed Ms *** a copy of the service invoice, and informed her of the date on which the vehicle would be towed away if the dealership did not hear back from her.When that deadline came, the vehicle had been on the Bill Barth lot for two monthsMr Barth says that almost exactly one hour after the vehicle was towed, Ms *** suddenly called backHe says she seemed to understand at that time that she had waited too long to pick up the vehicleHe adds that Ms *** was very nice and understanding of the dealership's position while on the phone, which is why the business was somewhat surprised when Ms *** began leaving negative comments about the dealership online / in dealership surveys, etc.Mr Barth says that Ms *** has been advised of what she needs to do to retrieve her vehicle, but that the dealership will not be able to extend her further consideration at this time

I am rejecting this response because:
What the dealership claims is false. They called me with a diagnoses approximately 3 days after my son had AAA tow it in. I never said it wasn't worth the repair. I said I can't afford $6000 and would be taking it somewhere that would be willing to rebuild it or take payments toward it for me. My son called them telling them when he would be coming in to pay the $57 fee and having it towed home. He was told it had to be towed right away to avoid having it impounded. He relayed to them that the soonest we could pay the $57 was that Friday which is why he said he'd be towing it home the date he gave them. They told him if it wasn't picked up that Friday then it would be towed. I called to pay that Friday as promised but they towed it anyway claiming they didn't know how to reach me!! They never EVER called me any time in between and definitely never contacted me by mail. I heard nothing from them after I told them I was unable to pay them $6000. I have tried for months to get in touch with someone there and have been ignored for months just as this claim has gone ignored from them for months. I will continue to leave negative comments because they are truthful. If I need to seek legal counsel to resolve this then I will. All they had to do was keep their word to avoid this situation and they've since made it worse by ignoring me for this long. And the Revdex.com has a record now showing they were ignored as well so it was more than just me. I just want them to have my van released to me so I can tow it home.
